If budget is a consideration, then I’d also recommend Clinique Happy. It’s my ‘every day’ scent and often gets complimented on.

I also like Armani Code and Essenza de Zegna for something a bit different.

by the time I went through school the word ‘belm’ had evolved in to a sound that I don’t think I can spell

Usually accompanied by a rhythmic squelchy, sucky, clicky noise made by sucking your lower lip over your bottom teeth whilst pushing ones chin out in a belm-like fashion?

By the time the craze reached Preston, it was used to express ones disbelief at a tall story:

    “I just fisted Norman Lamont…”

“Durr, belmmmmmmmmmm! You sooooo didn’t Julian, you wassock!”

How cheap? I have an XL Chameleon that I’d be tempted to part with, but it’s a good un… US built pre-EBB, can be run geared or singlespeed…

I’d give him £1000 if he could have done the whole thing without saying “REEEEALLY?????”

    Tomatoes? In a carbonara?

It’s my own interpretation. It’s more tastier and a nicer colour. No egg either, so it’s not really carbonara. Hence “Cheat’s”. This forum should have black-balled you when you gave us the chance… 🙄

My ‘cheats’ carbonara always goes down well, fairly healthy to.

Fry garlic, mushrooms and diced bacon in a big pan or wok, add a handful of baby plum or cherry tomatoes and squish.

Give it 5 mins on a high flame – let some of the sauce caramelise for better colour.

Stir in a small tub of low fat creme fraiche and cooked pasta of your choice. Serve with garlic bread and chilled Soave.

You can even drizzle it with olive oil – from a height of course – if you want to be a bit Jamie Oliver…

    😉

Recently got the Park one with quick release clamp. It’s ace… And blue… Very blue.

Bit more expensive but the QR is very handy…

    Maghull is indeed “wool”

My bird’s from Maghull, she’d murder anyone that suggested she was a wool!

It’ll take more than a £5-off-when-you-spend-more-than-500-quid voucher to get me risking them again. Very angry that they’d expose their customers to such lax security.
Spent £1000s with them over the years – they should have suspended ordering at the first sniff of a breach of security.

I was running mine on Nokian NBX 2.3s at first but switched to some Medusa 2.1s for the muddy winter. It feels a lot more lively up hill!

Other bits include XT drivetrain, Hope X2s, Hope Hoops with Crests, Hope seatpost and stem and carbon monkeylight XC bars.

    Love it!

Just had a phonecall off Egg to say my card had been used fraudulently. Ordered off CRC earlier this week.

2 payments were as mentioned above – £1.01 to 02.

Here’s mine with Revs at 130mm. Seems pretty good to me, feels good at 140 too but front end is a bit noodley.

Cracking bike, built it just before Christmas to replace a Chameleon which I don’t miss in the slightest.

I’m afraid I don’t have a green door, but the workstand contrasts nicely…

You’d only go elsewhere and piss other people off. At least you won’t be spoiling another forum if you stay. And you can recognise obscure fonts which I’ve found useful in the past.

Help me decide… I’m not sure what I want to decide, so it could go either way. But if the “STW Massive” could point me in the direction of a decision that needs making, I could be tempted to decide to have a go at making that decision, but I’ve not decided yet.
I’ll probably ask for help with that decision when I decide the time is right to decide. But again, I’m not completely sure yet.
    What does everyone think?

The is no such thing as an STWism. Fact.

My first car was a 1975 Spitfire 1500 in vermilion with black pleather.

Loved it! Best car I ever had, so much fun and I’m so glad I got something a bit different to the ubiquitous Fiestas and Novas that my contemporaries drove.

Dead easy to work on – I rebuilt the cylinder head, replaced all the front suspension, rewired bits that caught fire (a common problem on some) and generally had a whale of a time.

Insurance was less than 100 quid at one point, which for a 21y/o driving a sports car was ridiculous. Fuel economy was around 40mpg.

I plan to buy a minter at some point and trick it out throughout.

    Do it!!!

I think the reporter Damian Grammaticus has a brilliant name.

Whenever I hear his name, I sing:

“Ooooooooooooh… The ladies of the harem of the Court of King Caractacus, are just passing by…”

I’m leaning towards Caractacus Dangerfield now…

I once used it to mend a sliced thumb as I’d heard that the SAS always carry it for fixing wounds. Don’t try it… It’s the second most painful thing in the world.

And when I went for a slash – about half an hour later – I glued myself to myself, intimately.

Separating a superglued thumb/cock is the most painful thing in the world. Fact.

It’s definitely missing then, part No.9?

Hopefully the seller will be able to find it, it sounds like it’s dropped out when e greased it…

    Thanks again!

Sorry to be thick chaps, but this isn’t clear on the exploded diagram. But if I pull the freehub off, should the space be visible in front of the bearing that’s pressed into the drive side of the hub body?

There’s nothing there, the previous owner said he greased the pawls but he thinks nothing is missing…

It would seem I have a Subconjunctival Hemorrhage. Sounds pretty impressive for a sleeping injury…
