Thanks! I agree, Racing Ralph's are an excellent tyre, I just found that they struggled a bit where I ride the most (Epping forest, it tends to get really muddy!)

Ah, vario-99, so nice to have an informed opinion on an internet forum! :-) So, to clarify, if you run someone down in any circumstance and they die, you will be arrested whether you were in the wrong or not?

There's a real problem with cyclists on pavements down my way, I'd love it if they had a crack down on it. Which, obviously being a cyclist (and something of a grumpy old man it seems too!), pains me to say.

Fat Elvis you've played an absolute blinder! Excellent, thank you very much for your help. Just purchased the innovations ones. Job done, nice one!

Thanks! Just tried my LBS which, unfortunately because I live in London, is Cyclesurgery, and they were rubbish! Depends on who you get on the phone sometimes I guess…

Thanks! I tried Just Riding Along- couldn't find them on there! Are they called 'anchovies' or is that a nickname?

I had the same problem once and yes, I stopped to point it out on the map. He hated it because I was clearly in the right (although it took his friend to rather sheepishly point this out as well before he would believe me). The whole incident left me feeling slightly soiled at the time, but looking back I'm quite satisfied and smug about the whole thing ;-)

I had a carbon seatpost once and it got scratched all to hell whenever I raised and lowered my saddle. Never got another one.

Had mine for about six months- I think it's played a blinder. I absolutely love it! Like the previous post said, it absolutely flies uphill. I have been on bikes with suppler back ends tho…I'm about 85kg w/o pack, no probs with the carbon back end so far…

I'll second that post about Ciclo Montana- I thought they were amazing. One of the best holidays I've ever had!! My sister's tried Pure Mountains, also in Sierra Nevada, and loved it too. More pricey but you get more for it (lunch included, nicer accommodation etc)

I love Epping- it gets v.muddy in the winter tho. It's mostly an XC kinda place to be honest…Happy to show you around some time if you're interested….

Been using Crank Brother Acids for a couple years now and love them- never looked back. The bearings don't last as well as other makes tho- would be tempted by Time if I went for anything else. Tried Shimano, which were excellent in all their guises, but there is a lot of mud where I ride (Epping) and they clogged up quite frequently- which Acids never do…

There's no carrier bosses on the On-One 29er's I'm afraid- I've been looking for something similar myself! They have them on the 26in inbred only, for some reason….
