I have a friend who has recently sold his Mojo Idris HD3 because he couldn’t get on with it and was always moaning it never felt right (bad workmen always blame their tools, that type) 😉

He has since bought an Alpine 6 and swears it’s the best bike he’s ever ridden but a quick look at Strava suggests otherwise (industry standard comparison tool), He’s considerably slower uphill and no quicker down hill than he was on old Idris HD3 and on that evidence alone i’d buy a Five, but only if I was made to. 😀

He’s put a review on Youtube “Orange alpine 2017 mtb first impressions. Very informative.

Agree with philwarren11, best bike cleaner on ther market IMHO. And the Rhino shine is an even better product, apply after washing and your bike will look like new 😀 http://www.rhinogoo.co.uk/

Had exactly the same thing happen to mine about a month ago, Leisure Lakes returned them for me under warranty and it turned out to be a damaged seal inside them. Sorted under warranty and have been fine since .
    Hope this helps

Spray the bike with rhino Goo, leave for 2 mins then hose off. This has got to be the best bike cleaner on the market. No sponge or brush required. Oh and a quick spray of GT85 on the chain

Sorry to hear rickon really gutted for you mate,
i live just outside Blackwood and I had a break in at 4am this morning but luckily the alarm scared them off. This time last year over the bank holiday weekend I had another break in but my little border terrier saved my bike by alerting me but I feel uneasy now as this the second time it’s happened.
Last year when they had the first attempt I was informed that 9 bikes were stolen in that one night around the blackwood area.
I think it’s the same people doing it and unfortunately once you’ve been targeted once I think they’ll keep coming back
    I hate the scum bags

Goggle Rhino Goo, amazing stuff and much better than Muc Off then Rhino Shine to finish the job

I used 50mm thick kingspan sheets and expanding foam to seal any gaps, seems to have worked a treat:-)

I got this new cleaner at a recent motor X event, it’s called Rhino Goo and is a bright green liquid when you spray on. After a ride just spray it all over and leave for 3 mins, then just hose it off and I must say it works much better than Muc Off and it dries to leave a nice shine.
It even works on anodized finishes, think they also do Rhino shine which is a silicone type spray
    Can highly recommend

    Hi J273
hope you don’t mind me asking but where did you order your wheels from in the end?
I’ve been watching this thread with interest as I’ve been looking at new wheels and like yourself wasn’t sure if white wheels and white bike might look a bit tacky.
So many options available and so many people selling them, I didn’t want to jump in and buy a set that have been built up shit

Hi does anybody know if the 4xXPG lamp could be used with a lumicycle 14.8 battery pack as I have found someone on eBay selling the 4xXPG lamp on their own for £65. I already have a set of halogen lumicycles and was wondering if I could get away with just upgrading the lights. Thanks

My 2010 rev rti ti 150 do exactly the same, empty both chambers + & – then fill the + to the desired pressure and fork is at the full 150mm then pump the negative to the same pressure and the forks creep down to approx 135 – 140mm. Had a lower leg service by Loco and Simmon said this is normal as the negative side is basically pulling down and the positive is pulling the forks up, but this seems odd to me as surly you are not getting the full 150mm of travel that these forks are meant to be.

Have you considered an Orange 5? They are way faster than Zesty 514:-) and they can with stand a huge amount of crashing
