I will be taking an orange Five ( should have one by then ), the ridding i want to be doing is single track French alps sort of riding. All I’m going off is the few pics i saw on the white room site so i think thats what I’m after. so it will be that style of riding I’m after. I think they have chairlifts on most days but from what i can see its not to Downhill type riding.

I haven’t heard a bad word about the trance yet, but there is something that puts me off them. Really don’t know what it is because it could be a good line to head down. The orange 5 with 20% off is hard to miss but as I have to wait till January that would prob not be around then. But the Capra as a full build looks awesome and I could keep the hardtail so I might have to read up on them. I’m 5’11 would large be about right on either bikes ?

That Capra really is good value for money alright. I could even keep my soul at that price

That is an amazing price for the 5, un heard of that price. But not an option till the start of the new year, it’s going to bug me that haha. I’m hearing you on the heckler on the old school side so I will drop that out of the race. The only thing that scares me with the 5 is its climbing ability. I haven’t had a ride on a full sus at all as I have only had 2 cotic souls the latest one the 27.5 with a nice spec so would be looking at putting the kit on the new bike. Decisions :?, keep them coming

Yes you are spot on, it really did start to slow down over the last 2-3 weeks. I looked up a clip on how to bleed and it said to do when the seat post is extended but it won’t stay up. Will it be fine to bleep when down?

Cheers guys, I have the 275 soul atm which I love but if I went down the line of a rocket it would probably have to replace the soul. Thanks Cy but I’m away from Saturday till Christmas so as soon as I’m back I’ll flick through an email to try and sort out a test ride I’m keen as.
I just love the quality of a cotic and the passion that goes into there bikes wins me over.

Got some mudhuggers after recommendations from here and couldn’t be happier with them. Get asked regularly about them.

Don’t have the Solaris (have a 275 soul) but if you can afford a cotic they are just a class above an on-one imo.

Not sure money wise but there definitely could be a lot worse things to spend it on. Once it gets ya it gets ya this MTB thing.

I know you said must be NEW but you can get a AWESOME secondhand bike for that. That’s what I would do. Either way hope he enjoys it.

I have a charge scoop that I don’t get along with. As you said after an hour or so it’s awful. My old bike had a SDG Belair that I liked so I better get one order I think.

I had my first sick day for the year today too. Had a cx race yesterday and after the first 2 laps felt like I could have died but pushed through in poor form and have been in bed since. Sweats ands feel like a truck has hit me. Get better mate

When I put it on the bars I thought it might of had a little movement but after a big ride I found it didn’t move at all. I have read that the hope universal mount work with it as well if you wanted it to be more secure. As of the other bands your looking into mtb batteries are meant to be awesome with any warranty issues if ever needed too.

I had my first night ride with my new mtb batteries lumenator (2200 lumens) on Monday night and it was every part of awesome. Was a 3.5 hour ride and it only dropped to the 70% mark in the last 15 minutes. I feel it was the brightest light of the group as well and there were plenty of exposure lights on bars. £105 I feel you can’t go wrong.

I broke my wrist in November last year and I still can’t put much pressure on it. I have been ridding since January it is getting better every month but just a bloody pain in the ass. All the best with your recovery mate hope it’s a speedy 1

@dirtyrider I have never ridding the 5 but seen a couple of clips and few reviews of recent and I just want one haha not sure why. They seem like a good all rounder. But the 2 bike I chose where realistic price range bikes.
