Just managed to get a team of 5 ( started out 10, lightweights)for our first ever crack at Mayhem. I will be riding my orange 5 so not looking for to break records, just have a laugh and enjoy the whole event. Is there any tips mayhem veterans can offer please such things to take that a newb to this malarky would never otherwise think to take?

Just swapped the tyres ready for deggy tomorrow only to find one of the Advantages is pretty worn, now do i stick that one on the rear or do i whack on a High roller i have lying around thus riding an Avantage at the rear (the good one) and the HR on the front or vice versa???

Just changed’em (rear) and to be honest it still needs a pump or two before they bite where i like them! Fiddled with the BPC but it still gets firm after a few pumps…

Thanks for the replies everyone. Just been for a quick blast around the park where i live. It does feel nice and flicky and i really like the carbon havens on it as they are wider than i was used to. Just like people have said,i can see it being fun on the trails will just have to see what the longer more clibmy rides are like. Dieing to get out on it this weekend but the front pads are fecked and the one i ordered wont be here until next week :(
