I got taken out for a week or two most years when I was a kid, it didn’t do any harm. Its only an issue because of the rise in competitive parenting and schools feeling entitled to dictate to parents. I’ll take my kids out for the legal maximum if I feel like it.
The RFU disciplinary process is a joke. I can’t believe they tried to claim he was provoked when he actually started the incident himself, with the tackle off the ball.
As usual with the RFU, its not what you do, its who you are. Cockerill spent the majority of the match shouting and swearing at the referee’s assessor, in front of a stand full of supporters. Where is his sanction? The RFU aren’t interested. Its all the more pathetic when you consider the way they hounded Brendan Venter and invoked the “spirit of the game” at every turn, when it suited them. Delon Armitage is serving a long ban for verbally abusing a doping officer. Somehow Cockerill is different.
They do look very nice. PJay you couldn’t help me out and name a few nice frames in that price range for me to do a bit of research on? I am looking at steel road frames and struggling to find anything outside the Genesis Equilibrium.
Total loss of control from Tuilagi – should be 8-12 weeks.
Its not the amateur era, you can’t rain punches down on somebody who isn’t even throwing any back. As for standing up to the Southern Hemisphere teams – none of Woodward’s guys were that stupid or ill-disciplined, and they did alright.
He might have stepped in but I don’t think he has started. Earls has been getting better and better, 09 Lions was to much too soon but he has improved steadily since. He is a ridiculously talented footballer with a lot of pace. We have a few wings coming through at Leinster and Ulster so the likes of Bowe or Fitzgerald might step inside.
Kidney is a notoriously conservative coach. Paddy Wallace and D’Arcy were basically picked for the World Cup squad at the start of the season, all the selections follow from that. To be fair to D’Arcy he has come back into good form for Leinster.
Luke Marshall is coming through at 12 for Ulster and is a very similar player to Henson. Nevin Spence has just had a brilliant debut season at 13. Fergus McFadden has been playing very well at 12 for Leinster. Earls and Bowe have both got experience at 13. We’re alright for centres for the forseeable future.
Wall hangers with the bikes vertical is probably the most space-efficient. If I was laying mine out again I would have the bikes vertical and then a lot of shelves down the other sides. Hangers for tyres and wheels are also very handy as they are an awkward shape and get in the way on the floor but they’re not likely to fit in the shelves.
The pairs thing wasn’t too popular but it worked out alright. Most pairs agreed who would go first and then alternated. In my case I was with a guy who raced DH and 4X but wasn’t as fit as me. I basically gave him the gate every time and then followed him, he would open a gap and if there was a pedally section I would catch him up. Obviously it allows them to put twice the riders through in a given timeframe.
I noticed the Italian organiser in Dirt saying they were aiming for 70% of people missing the cut-offs. I would’ve said Ae last year was close to 100%, there were some very long waits.
Sounds like a fun course. It was probably slightly too pedally last year, although it was still a lot of fun. I don’t see the problem with having the DH track in there, especially as everything else is groomed, for me its about who can carry the most speed over a variety of terrain. The qualifying and running order is very difficult to get right. Were you riding in singles or pairs?
I didn’t mean to sound overly negative about Himachal, lets just say I had some problems during my time there. Its a beautiful place with some of the friendliest people I’ve met anywhere.

I think Ilkley Moor has been advised on here a few times recently. Stainburn is only a couple of miles away, you could ride out to it. Harewood House (sp?) has some riding and you are probably only 30mins from getting up into the Dales. Boneshakers in town sell laminated OS maps marked with routes.
There are a lot of accountants around who specialise in your kind of requirement, ask around within your industry or look at trade press.
If they aren’t specialists at what you have asked them to do and you haven’t clearly defined a job specification or list of tasks, never mind a price, you have made things a bit difficult for yourself.
Ask around for standard rates for what they have already done and what they will need to do on a yearly basis, find out if you feel ripped off, ask them to reconsider the bill.
If they’ve provided no useful advice to avoid tax and you find somebody who can show you a saving then I wouldn’t pay the full whack.
It would probably have been more stylish for Labour to put their heads together and present their facts in a reasoned manner when the speaker gave them the opportunity.
A bit of banter that Labour are going to try and use to manufacture an issue. The best they can hope for these days is momentarily distracting everyone from the fact that they have no credible policies or politicians left.
O’Driscoll is going to finish up with 120-plus caps for Ireland, he has been a key player in 3 Lions Tours, won a load of Triple Crowns, a Grand Slam, and a Heineken Cup. He has been the best outside centre in the world for the best part of a decade. He is a constant threat in attack, he can rip a team to pieces himself or create space for others, he hits like a flanker and turns over more ball than a lot of forwards.
Its fashionable amongst a certain type of rugby fan to knock O’Driscoll and pick holes in his game but he will be remembered as one of the most influential rugby players of all time. For all the strengths of his game, the biggest attribute any rugby player can have is the ability to turn a game with a moment of individual brilliance – he has been doing that his whole career.
BBC 100 Cap Tribute with a few salient points from other leading lights of the game.
eBay is a joke these days, we’ve had excuses like this when we have won bargains and we’ve also had some really pathetic attempts to force a full or partial refund for goods that were exactly as described.
