Probably, the repair will copy files from the XP cd and then ask for the key of the new CD (I am assuming that this is what you did)!

Problem is that the CD you have used is probably registered to another PC.

I would try to find the original CD and repair from this.

You won't be able to run the 480MB plus the 1GB because you only have two slots – you will have to take one of the modules out to put the 1GB in.

This may not work (due to unmatched pairs)so I would by 2 of the 1GB modules!

Use the 'Dir' command to bring up a list of files.

You will need to navigate to the My Documents folder first!

Howu much RAM have you got to begin with?

If you have Vista then 2GB is the minimum!

If you have XP then I would still do it unless the machine is fairly old and the it can be expensive.

Go to Crucial[/url] and it will tell you what memory you should install.

I quite like the Outwell Hartford XL which is quite large for just two adults and two kids. It does howver have three separate sleeping pods, a large living area and an awning. Due to is size it would take some time to pitch but I would practise before getting to an actual campsite.

Just done a spot of googling on Simona Halep and that picture has definitely done the rounds.

Probably better than looking at her boat race though!!

Just checked and an OEM version of NIS2009 is £13.79. This is a bit strange as previos versions were significantly more expensive!!

I’d imagine he has a fair few hours driving it around the Ferrari test track so its not really fair.

I suppose it would be good if they could get the Ascari, GM, Porsche and Lamborghini etc test drivers and see what times they can set!!

Not too sure that the FXX should qualify for the ‘Power’ leaderboard. It may be a production car but you are unlikely to see it on the road if Ferrari only let you use it for track days!

I hate to say it but as lovely as Queen Vic is, she looks short and a bit rough next to Elle. (Hides and prepares to be flamed).

A four letter barrage is definitely not warranted. If you stopped in front of mine whilst I was watching then I think I’d know you were just dropping off. Just don’t stay long mind!!

I’d really like to say that this is not an indication of society. Its a bit like saying that Godon Ramsay is indicative of British Society. He isn’t and whoever thinks he is, is wrong.

Fortunately this type of underclass represents a small percentage of people but thats the worrying thing – is this percentage getting bigger?

I have to agree with Zaskar but cannot see myself leaving any time soon.

Their service status message says there are no problems but when you try and talk to someone they say they have lost access to all their systems relating to email and customer accounts.

First problem in a long time so suppose I cannot complain to much, good thing I don’t use the email for business!

Hi Mikkel, I tried holding the on/off switch down for 30 seconds but still no luck.

The bundled cables look they are on the left hand side and this cable appears to run up the right hand side of the screen and across the top.

If this is the wireless antenna then this wouldn’t stop the machine powering on!

I thought it might be the wireless antenna but the laptop does not power on so I’m thinking that its something else.

You get the charging light on the front and the blue lights on the wireless and on/off switch lights when you switch on but nothing after that!

You’ll be seeing plenty of fuel stations – yes, glad I am not paying for the fuel!

Normally you can tell by the size of the fuel filler i.e. you cannot put diesel in a petrol car as the nozzle won’t fit but unfortunately diesel will go in a petrol…oh

Another vote for Plusnet here. Have been with them for over 5 years so lucky to have unlimited downloads and not be on a fair usage scheme. To be fair though if you sign up to a package with one a fair usage scheme and go over the limit they do say they will thottle the speed.

Technical support is pretty good provided you to it on-line, I wouldn’t ring them unless my own BB goes down.

Also, my BB is close to being free as I have signed up quite a few people!

The Netgear wpn824 will only work if you have Cable broadband (Virgin/Telewest) and not BT broadband.

Otherwise it is an excellent bit of kit!

I am preety sure that Sky are not given out Netgear routers any more.

They appear to have changed supplier and the new routers are rubbish, unlike the Netgear DG834 which is an excellent bit of kit.

It must be that the laptop is having problems getting the key verified by the router. I would try the key in upper and lower case and also change it from open to shared.

Are you using Firefox? If so I had the same problem, tried completely removing it, downloading the removal tool and re-installing all to no avail.

Eventually gave up and started using Opera which I think is an excellent browser.

If you search Google you should find lots of info about this problem!

Zedsdead – When using Mlehworld you won’t see/know whats happening, the links are just open in the background.

When you are interviewed by HR the honesty is your best approach but as been mentioned take a witness and get it recorded.

Seems like your IT dept are good at recording this kind of activity but not at preventing it!

I am not too up on the technicalities but I think certain files and links are opened when you visit certain sites (it could be from Mlehworld but not sure). I am pretty sure that the ‘ads.adbrite.com’ is an advert on a page like the ones at the top of this page.

Someone will no doubt be along shortly to confirm/ridicule me!

Zedsdead – I would point out your good character in your meeting with HR, as a Scout leader I know how important CRB checks are! Also, as been said before its their responsibility to prove it was you and not a virus. I sense that they want to find a scapegoat.

Its worth having if you don’t have a hardware firewall (Router) as you don’t really want to rely on the WIndows firewell.
