I believe there are two smtp servers which should be okay to be used with 3 mobile: – smtp-mbb.three.co.uk or smtp.three.co.uk.

Either could work but I know that Three are particularly fussy where sending mail is concerned. In the past I tried both and I am sure that one worked but not sure which! 😆

bigbloke – the smtp server should be smtp.three.co.uk but this was the provider that I had problems with in the past. This should work but let me know what error you are getting.

Does the Dongle connect to Virgin. If it does then the pop settings should be the same as the desktop, if not then you will need to put in the smtp server of the dongle provider.

I have had problems settings these up in the past, if the speed of the dongle isn't good then it will not send/receive email!

My brother got the blue and yellow Raleigh Burner when he was 8 but he had just come out of hospital after a major operation. I however didn't get one or any new bike (:sniff:)

I used AVG up until last month when I changed to MSE. It seems okay but not used it for that long, also have Spybot-Search and Destroy though I don't monitor it.

    Cranberry –

As for the oil in the injector loom problem on the TD5 engine – this occurred only on those made in the first couple of years of production, and costs £30 to fix ( plus an hour of labour if you don't want to do it yourself ). Other than that, the engines have proved themselves very reliable.

This happened on a mates 2004 TD5 and he needed a new loom!

I still cannot decide and will test drive the 110 this weekend to see if I can cope with the reduced comfort/increased noise!

Edukator – I do a fair amount of towing and that is the reason I own one.
I don't do a great deal of off-roading but like being able to do when needed. I don't bully other road users although you are less likely to get into a situation when driving one and I don't park on pavements though why owning a 4×4 means you are more likely to is beyond me!

To the OP, is your disco MPi or V8? And are you looking at a series 2 (eg TD5) disco?

My Disco is a V8 with an LPG conversion. I have had a TD5 before but had problems with the ACE and clutch, my mate has one and has had oil in the wiring loom and also needed to change the clutch and gearbox. Hence I am looking at the series 3 as I hope the engine is better than the TD5.

    Edukator – I don't need a

    heavy, cumbersome and polluting vehicle

but I like them. Not sure I follow your

    I-am-an-eco-terrorist-roadhog statement

unless you tar everyone with the same brush when making generalizing and sweeping statements!

110 is a pig on the road as the Elephant said above.

As 99% of my miles are on the road it sounds like the Discovery will be my best option. It is the HSE version and auto so sounds like I will be turning into an old man!

I'm surprised you have to think about it. One almost passes for a car. One almost passes for a tractor. What do you need? A car or a tractor?

As I said I have a Discovery but fancy a little bit extra load space and the extra seats. I also do a small amount of off-roading which the Disco is perfectly capable of but thinking of something a little more rugged!

I have used AVG for a while but AVG 9.0 seems to be bit more hungry than previous releases and can tip some computers over the edge especially if they have a small amount of memory such as 512MB (XP O/S obviously, slightly too small for Vista).

I have also had problems installed version 9.0!!

Personally I would run with at least 2GB of memory!

If the transaction was performed on a secure e-commerce site then normally they will only ship to the registered address of the card!

Also, with systems like Mastercard secure code and the Visa equivalent they can be bypassed easily.

The problem here is that the scammer needed to know the registered address of the card to complete the transaction.

Edit – Agree with Stoner – they are talking bollox!

This all seems a bit overkill just to get TCP/IP working! If your network card is broken then a re-install will not make any difference.

Click on Start, Run, type CMD and then type netsh winsock reset from the Dos prompt (this is assuming you are running XP SP2).

If your friends found that blog then they might find what you have written here 😉

BTW – We fed our first for a year and the second for 2 months. I think 'its horses for courses' or whatever the mother and baby feel comfortable with.

Another LPG Discovery here and no problems at 120000 miles, yes it runs hotter but it won't be a problem until the manifold cracks completely and then it will be replaced.

Also, never had a problem with parking it in any car park although the channel tunnel issue has proved to be an irritation!

you should see how it got into the garden

I wouldn't have liked to be the digger driver!!

BTW – How did it get out, not sure you can just reverse that operation?

Same thing happened to me with HSBC with my business account! I was charged an annual fee on my credit card which had been stopped, this charge was taken from the current a/c via direct debit. HSBC then charged me £140 for going overdrawn.

They weren't happy when they realized it was there fault and they had to credit all the charges. As a result I will never use HSBC again!

    Post hole digging tool!!

Seriously, I have one. Its just a blade on the end of a bit of steel but works really well.

Edit: Digger looks a bit big for the garden!!

    Is it Vista?

In device manager, remove the device and reboot. It should then rediscover the sound device and everything should work!

You went past a sign that said "no through road" and were surprised when you came to a dead end.
How do you manage with other daily tasks, i.e. eating, walking, using the toilet? FFS.

Obviously, I was not completely surprised when I came to a dead end but it could be implying that normal 2 wheel drive cars may not be able to continue where a 4×4 would be okay.

I am thinking that the first picture is more a large house spider (Tegenaria Gigantea): –

I think there are three types domestic, large (Gigantea) and Parietina (Edit – Wiki has just informed me that it is the last one that is sometimes called a Cardinal spider),

deserter – that brace looks the business but glad I'm not paying.

I have been using a support a bit like the one in the picture

I think it cost about £30 when I bought it a couple of years ago! It has plastic hinged pieces on either side of the knee which really do provide support. Also, the knee may just benefit from the warmth of being encased in Neoprene!

They should replace it but I would buy a decent router like a Netgear DG834.

I have bought three Wester Digital MybookWorld 1TB drives and all have had problems. I would recommend Buffalo, Seagate and Freecom.
