I won a 1 week holiday for 2 to Ibiza back in about 1990, I won it on Graham Torringtons Late Night Love radio show. Free entry and drinks each night to a few clubs

I had my right hip replaced in April 2017, I was 46 at the time. I stuck to everything I was told to do. The physio had me on an exercise bike after about 8 weeks and I was riding canal paths after about 12 weeks. It is so much better now, it took a year or so to feel normal but still get strange sensations around the hip area. I’m waiting for a date for a new knee now, the joys of arthritis. Do as your told but push yourself and you’ll be good as new soon.

I’ve used a Skullshaver for about a year now and cant fault it, it gets my head as smooth as a razor does and only takes a couple of minutes. Highly recommended

I’m sure that Tui have changed the rules so that you only have to pay the balance 4 weeks before departure, I was going to Mexico but that was cancelled and I’m waiting for a refund. I would give them a call and see what they say.

I use an Amazon firestick for mine, plenty of providers on twitter who charge a small subscription fee and supply near enough anything you would wish to watch. I pay £50 per year and get just about everything, tv, movies, sport and series/box sets with full 24hr online support.

Give him your address then take cash on collection, job done. As its christmas there’s a good chance it will be a present so paypal and posting would probably not be an option.

I had a bucket handle medial meniscus tear repaired at the start of August. I had the lateral meniscus trimmed at the same time, I’m riding every day. I still get a bit of pain when going up and down stairs. I cant tell you if you will be running again but cycling shouldn’t be an issue.

I went quite a few times before I had kids. I went back this year with an 8 and 5 year old, and I loved It. Totally different experience with kids but I’m definitely trying to get tickets again for next year. The toilet situation was far better than when I had been previously, not as many portaloos but more of the composting toilets. Still smelt really really bad though.

I popped in today, it seemed smaller than previous years. I was impressed with the J.Laverack bikes, the retro Yeti arc was nice. On the whole I thought it was a bit disappointing.

I had an arthroscopy on 16th August. I had a bucket handle tear of one meniscus repaired, and the other one trimmed. I started on the stationary bike this week and suffered no pain whilst pedalling, but Im still getting a fair bit of pain when walking and climbing stairs. I’ve been signed off for 6 weeks but I wont be going back to work for a fair while after that.

I have a pair of Giro Rumble and I like them, I have to walk a few hundred yards from the bike shed to the changing room at work and they are good to walk in.

I’m hopefully having an operation to tidy my knee up today, I’ve had it cancelled twice already. I’ve got a lot of arthritis in the joint and been told I’ll need a new knee but keep being told I’m too young ( I’m 47). I had a hip replacement 2 years ago which has been amazing but there seems to be a reluctance to give me a new knee.

“”JLR already moved production of their new vehicles from the UK to Slovakia.

I know this because my brother-in-law and sister-in-law work for JLR and had to move their family out there””

I work at JLR Solihull, and we knew the Discovery was being moved to Slovakia before production even started in Solihull. It wasn’t moved because of Brexit, it was a long term plan. The body shop that was used to produce the Disvovery is currently being stripped out and made ready for the new hybrid Range Rover, there seems to be a lot of money invested in the Solihull site at the present time. Although the future doesn’t look amazing there doesn’t seem to be any real negativity and job fears.

I’m in Red 2, 7-10 start. Londonderry House car park is only £5-50 for 12 hours if you pre book and only a couple of minutes from start line.

I recently started using SIS Rego because a friend bangs on about it all the time. It destroyed my stomach, I’ve never smelt as bad as during my couple of weeks using it. Back on the chocolate milkshake now but its took a good few days to get my stomach right.

I’m in again, the first Velo Birmingham was a good day out. This one goes right past my front door so I can stop off for supplies. I’m looking forward to it even with a lack of decent miles in my legs.

I’m waiting to have surgery on mine, I’ve got a bucket handle tear of my meniscus and I have always been encouraged to keep cycling. I’ve waited a year so far and apart from the occasional locking or knee giving way it’s just about manageable. I cycle to work every day and do a couple of biggish rides a week. If its manageable I’d say just crack on.

There’s quite a lot of nice riding only 5/10 minutes away from NEC, I’d go towards Hampton-in-arden -Knowle – Balsall Common – Meriden – Coleshill then back to NEC, should take about 1.5 to 2 hours and generally nice quiet roads. Sorry I’ve no gpx file.

It’s worth watching but I never really loved it. I only went to the end because I’d invested so much time in the first few seasons.

In a similar situation here. My better half has been working 3 days a week for about 3 years now, but has signed her new contract to go full time at the start of October. She has started to question her choice as the weeks go by, but for me it’s a no brainer. She can drop the kids at school everyday as she starts at 9 and I work shifts ( Nights,Afternoons, Mornings) so I can pick the kids up for 2 weeks out of 3, only need after school club for 1 week. The financial gain makes it impossible to say no as far as I’m concerned.

If thats the one between the 02 and New Street then you will be fine, im mid 40’s and had no problems. Digbeth Dining Club is also worth a couple of hours of your time, i go there quite often and really do enjoy it every time.

I live about a 3 minute walk from that business park. The local traffic between 8-9 o clock in the morning can be terrible, add in the M5-M42 and your drive could be rubbish, might be lucky and just cruise straight in but that doesn’t really happen does it. I’d go train every time as it is a 10 minute walk. And lunch/beer in The Little Owl on the way back to the station, jobs a good un.

Orange mk2 Escort 1300 sport when I was 17,  purchased for £50 from my next door neighbour. I loved that car but it was stolen about a year later.

My 6 year old went to Taekwondo for a couple of months but he was the youngest there by a year or so and sometimes struggled. He now goes to kickboxing with kids his own age and loves It. I think a lot depends on the teacher and the dynamic of the club/class.

Sounds like your doing just fine, you have to follow the exercise routine and let the body do it’s magic. Are you using a stick or crutches? I ditched the crutches quite early and found the stick much easier. I would just walk until you feel you have done enough, I always knew if I’d done too much. I’ve had mine 7 months now and it’s still not 100%. It’s a slow process and can be frustrating at times but you’ll be back to normal(ish) before you know it.

I’ve had mine nearly 6 months now, it’s amazing how much difference it’s made. I’m not doing any mtbing as I’m too worried about falling off but I’m on the roadbike nearly everyday. Just got myself a Cannondale Slate so I can do a bit more than just road riding.
Being allowed home in 2 days might be a bit optimistic, I was out on the 4th day, it all depends on passing all the little goals they set you. I hope it all goes well mate.

My pal owns Purnells, he is a very nice bloke. I’ve been quite a few times and the food is amazing, well worth a visit in my opinion.I’ve been to the other Michelin star places in Brum and must say they are all top quality. I’m not a food snob at all but these places do seem to take food to a different level.
