You can please some of the people all of the time, all of the people some of the time.
But you cant please all the people all of the time.

It’s about biking, I like bikes, but not all the articles rock my boat. The wider the coverage the better imo.

Start a niche publication if you want just one topic covered :)

Was it on Cowper Street? Think I passed just after 9am, saw ambulance and a bike up against the wall.

That is the same junction where I got hit by car turning right.

And in my case as well loads of help from passersby and other drivers :)

bust wrist and back injury for me, but all well now.

Hope you heal quick and stay safe all

    Cheers

blimey, i only come on here now and again, but I never fail to find a post that depresses me.

Both about the state of our society, but also about the ignorance of some of the posters on here.

hmmm, thanks for cheering me up.

off back to read the news about the good people of Glasgow at least that was positive given the events

I tend to just remind them of the Scottish stereotype that we all like to hunt the English for sport then show their wives what real men are like

I don’t think that particular stereotype has made it across the border.

    Ask your wife :)

Because it highlights the fact that context is all important IMO kcr. The argument that Jock/Jocky is offensive in all cases is falsified by the fact that people choose to use the name/nickname themselves.

Now how about the word ****, no non racist would use it, but it has been reclaimed by some in the African American community

Well that seems to clear it up

One is intended to be derogatory the other is heard as derogatory :)

Not as matter of course, but did call my 25 year old rode bike The Broom, after it’s latest make over. No prizes for guessing inspiration :)

I would agree that it should work fine. It is the shifter that controls the indexing. I have my 3 speed shifter and mech set up to run my 2 middleburn duo, so am sure you can bodge it. Just give it a go

I can’t believe this is creating a debate. It was funny, it wasn’t funny depending on your view, why care what anyone else thought .

For the record, i thought it was funny :) does that make me a bad person ? Thought not.

Very moving account of himself, Norman MacCaig, Scottish identity, and the mountains. Highly recommended

I went, was disappointed. Would prefer to have more component and kit stalls. Loads of bikes, but i’m not in the market. And no sign of orange or hope v odd.

Swrve clothing was good. Would have got a pair of their jeans if they had them in my size :)

I’m all for bikefit for the road bike. Got one thrown in when i bought my road bike. As i ride between 70 and 100 miles regularly it was great at sorting out all the niggles. Ended up with shimmed shoes and shorter stem. Comfortt has been much better and an increase in speed.

But never considers it for mountain bike, as you are always moving about, not static for miles on end i don’t suffer the same aches

If you do long rides and can afford it, you’ll not regret it.

That would be a shame, and probably rather pointless

For the record been a member of a party and stood as a councillor. Thankfully not elected :)

Clegs still bad in Laggan last weekend.

As others have said never seen anything like it.

And unlike midges they don’t follow the rules of the game.

Exposed flesh is fair game and midges respect that. Clegs on the other hand will just eat you through your clothes.

How much you looking to spend? A 6 or 12 month sub to rouleur might be worth considering. Gererally great article, and always stunning photos
