The difference between Contador and Millar is Millar said sorry, Contador claimed he’d eaten some dodgy steak imported from a Spanish butcher that no one could rememeber the name of I can’t be bothered looking for.

Receipts produced by Astana — Contador’s team during the 2010 Tour — showed that the butcher belonged to Grupo Larrezabal, which sold the cuts of beef that Contador’s lawyers argue triggered the clenbuterol positive.

    -CAD/CAG content
-Not monotonous – new challenges constantly arising
-Not always indoors, and not a typical office job
-Use of brain every so often
    -Decent pay

    Civil engineering.

You believe the person who said sorry over the guy who never did wrong in the first place??

This is why it’s a pointless discussion. As an ex-smoker, I’ve been there, seen it and done it. I’ve seen the negatives and understand the down side. The never-smoked are always prey to the peddlers of filth. What we can not, and you can not, prove is Wiggo’s resolve against this pressure.
You can not prove he isn’t doping, can you? It’s a question of trust and belief. Simple as that.

All other things being equal whoyagonnabelieve?

Again, from personal experience I’d believe the ex-doper. They’re the ones who undestand what they’ve lost.
Look at the other famous doper…. Millar.

Seems only the usada was the only group willing to stand up to him.

Well, it took them long enough. 🙂
My point being that Contador is a reformed doper, as murderers can be rehabilitated. That we have to trust that Wiggo is clean and that Lance was able to get away with it for a good few years while rejecting and suing any claim to the contrary.
I don’t think anyone here has enough insider info to be clear one way or the other. 😉

If he’s not failed a test, then he’s not a doper.

What was it Lance used to say?

living at altitude is prob what matters,

I agree, and I think, from experience, the benefits are short lived. 🙁

If someone murders someone, only once mind, at what point aren’t they a murderer?

And that’s exactly where this stops being a debate and loses the rational argument.
Can you prove that Contador is doping now?
Can you prove that Wiggo isn’t?
Did anyone know for sure that Armstrong was, before the recent revelations?
    It’s all opinion and bullcrap.

    Eh? Caught doping = doper.

Once, and now clean. Yet people still label him a doper. Funny that.

    seba560

Not sure what there is to discuss when there isn’t any evidence.

I dunno, Contador is labelled as a doper without any evidence. One failed test doesn’t make him a lifetime doper, unless the evidence can be presented here.

It looks like it blocks your near side mirror and a bit of the view out the side window, which can of course create a significant blind spot..

Fortunately god gave us necks and a brain to help us use them.

Leave doors and brick/block up on the inside and insulate.
    You get new space.
    New owners can reinstate garage.

Quite quickly folowed by another few high street shops who are failing.

Unless there has been boardroom shenanigans, aren’t they just suffering because they are not providing us, the customer, with what we demand? I fear that in the long term we will be the losers, we’ll get the cheapest products and no back up or support.

Childish trolling by Guru-Murthy – taking a pious and wearisome tack on whether there was a correlation between violence depicted in his films and real life. Tarantino has to answer this mind-numbingly puerile question and rack over old ground with each new release – something he’s done for the last 21 years since Reservoir Dogs.

You watched the whole interview, didn’t you? 😉
Krishnan was all over Twitter asking for questions to ask before he faced Tarantino. That doesn’t make good background for a serious news programme.

Well you are the one quoting that rubbish.

What was your point in the quote?
Am I right in thinking your (sic) a teacher? 🙂

@seba560. I think you’ll find that headteachers (WTF is a “junior headteacher” BTW) on the larger packages will have significantly more responsibility than the average MP.

It’s all about the responsibility, I get it now. I’m still not too sure how this is measured though or even comparable.

Your (sic) so far from the truth you couldn’t see it with the Hubble telescope.

I was just quoting what was said on the Department of Education web page, the one I linked to. Take it up with them, not me. If it’s not true I’ll cancel my application, immediately. 🙁

As a public servant, I’d welcome performance related pay. That way I might get some recompense for the amount of non-payable overtime I have to do

Shouldn’t you welcome performance related pay so that all the unecessary crap you have to do is got rid of so that you can concentrate on the important stuff and spend more time with the family?

    performance related pay?

This is an area that they could lead by example with, then we could see it applied right through the ranks of public servants.

Need ‘appear’ to be plural before we go any further.

    Plural you say? 😉

but to me the “will be different” implies the functionality is definitely different, possibly deliberately. Whereas the “will differ” implies it may be variations.

It’s the word will that refers to certainty.
Both sentences look fine, one uses the adjective, the other a verb.

I guess that would make you unavailable for work or unavailable to be Seeking a Job under their T&Cs.
Better to keep quiet on this type of thing as long as you’re free on sign-on day, so I’ve been told.

I mentioned this at my first job seeker interview as the Job Centre. It seems I may have to sign off (i.e. no benefits) for those 2 weeks as I’ll be in ‘full time education’

Did you tell them that you’d still be available for interviews during the course? And that you’d bin the course if a job came up?

nope not saying that…just that theyre doesnt seem to be a subject raised that someone doesnt have an ansa for…just saying like!

Quite probably because this forum is blessed with a large membership, made up of people from a very wide range of backgrounds, interests, and experience, both personal and work-wise. Fortunately there are a few that really do know everything about everything too.
