It’s not the worst ad I have seen on PB however it does say…Excluding shock….. and….you will need….

The image is misleading and like it or not, most people just look at a pic and think yeah that’s what I need.

The buyer F’ed up and the nice thing to do is offer a refund. If you decide not to do that I think the ad is clear enough that you have every right to refuse. Your call at the end of the day.

Chances are it’s dried up or there will be so little in there it will be ineffective. I would pop some more in. You could just use a tyre leaver to open up a crack big enough to squirt it in or go through the valve it you have ones with a removable core. Should be a quick job and you are off!

I jumped ship from AA, the renewal price was stupid. Now with green flag. Home start, get you where you want to go if you brake down on the road. It cost £96 I think.

Used them once, home start affair. They were with me in 40 mins and I was off in another 15. Very good service.

I used the (Parcel) force. Shut my eyes really tight and summoned a delivery. Low and behold TWICE in one day. I was on fire.

And what’s with the Germans family’s son in law!

It’s only the bloke/stepdad who is German.

The boyfriends deal is that he has big hair and is, for all intents and purpose, mute.

They are very funny! The more alcohol they consume the funnier they are. Its the couple with the dog that that gets me. She is a vicar and he always seems to have dog ass and legs all over him! Yuck.

Oh and I love the woman who ‘drinks’ pot noodles!

X fusion slants, trail kings and a stans no tubes kit. Super excited although it was a bit scary spending that much all at once. Won’t happen again for a long time!

Could try some kind of locktite product on the bolts or a different adaptor? Never used an adaptor myself but those would be my first things to try. Failing that new rotors?

Edit…have you got centre lock hubs and 6 bolt rotors? Either way new rotors would be cheaper than new wheels or am I totally missing something!?

Edit: Classic shell is free to download and use.

How is this any worse/better/more WOW than the guys on here with a bunch of bikes? Got an itch? Scratch it. I admire this mans dedication almost as much as his OCD. That said I bet the only woman to touch him in the last 38 years has got to be his ‘mom’. And that was when he was pushed out.

After buying new consumer laptops in that price range and finding they die within a few years I have recently gone for a used Thinkpad T430.

Its built like a tank. However its built to last. i5, 500gb HD etc. Its a great machine. If you like sleek, HP do the Elitebook. All aluminium and can be had for under 400. Used but mint. These business laptops are built to last and be used more than consumer options. They may originally cost over a grand but if you are clever about how you buy one you can get a solid machine, with manufacture warranty within your budget.

I can’t help directly but can you not find a local GP over the weekend (they may all be closed but it might be possible to find an emergency option/clinic you could go to) or go to a hospital if you are really struggling?

Just because you have got bike wood there is no need to plaster it all over the internet.

The renewal is a rip off, they did the same to me. I found a great deal with green flag so did that. I also called the AA and they knocked a bit off but the green flag cover was just more comprehensive.

It’s not an exact science but if the puncture is very small the sealant should catch it. It might be that quite a bit has leaked out (or forced out by the pressure) so you may have to add more. Spinning the wheel is OK but I would stick more in then get the puncture at the lowest point, where the sealant is and pump up.

If the puncture is more of a hole like you say you may need a tubeless repair kit.

The small and simple things I love are…a cup of earl grey tea, a big poo and hugs… in that order. I’m pretty sure all 3 at once would be the most amazing thing ever but it would be so hard to top I can bring myself to do it.

    Bikes are also good.

Sounds like you know what you should do, however that might seem like a long way off and you fancy a change, fast!

I find myself doing this all the time and it’s always better to wait. Things change and you might find something totally different makes more sense. In the mean time, if you want to buy something how about a roof bar setup for your bikes? Will get you through until you can go for the car you really want.

Edit, much cheaper and less crap involved this way than buying an interim car.

can you give us an idea of the spec of your PC? I second getting rid of Vista and going windows 7. An OEM version can be had cheap. If you are willing to spend a bit more say £50 you could add an SSD as your primary hard drive. Probably the best way to give an old PC some extra life.

I have been looking at the same kind of thing. Currently have a 2005 Astra 2.0l turbo and the £280 tax every year is horrible.

Have looked at same cars as you and have settled on a new shape Astra 2010 1.7 diesel for about 6500, less if I can find one from a private seller. Took one out yesterday and it was spot on. Felt like a solid car and great to drive. £30 VED per year and low ins group.

I have used them for posting a bike, everything happened when it should. I have also used LOCO and never had a problem waiting for a shock or forks to arrive.

It looks like your shock is on it’s way and you still have Thursday and Friday for it to show up.
