Buy a tarp and keep putting them in the boot. Do you really want to advertise to the locals what’s in your shed while you’re out at work all day.

Yeah that is a down side. And as others say it is a permanent advert for bike thieves. Not the best area round here. Might get some kind of boot protector with high sides instead. Just like the idea of sticking it on the roof and not taking wheels off.

    Thanks for the input guys.

Shizzletrack, I’m a commercial photographer and work all over the UK. I’m always looking to develop new relationships and I charge a hell of a lot less than the numbers above! Would be more than happy to send you info and sample images to show the quality of work on offer.

Edit. I see you are trying to cut costs by bringing it in house but it might be just as efficient building a relationship with a supplier dedicated to your those needs. Hire a designer handy with a camera and you will get just that. If your photography requires any kind of lighting for instance, I would always say go with someone with experience. I guess at the end of the day, it depends on how much you sell from your imagery. If it’s a lot then you should invest there.

Well, no one shouldn’t feel dirty processing an image….. Just because it’s now done digitally! What do you think a darkroom was used for? I use Capture One for work, also Lightroom. If your eldest just wants to tweak images without any serious Photoshop work, Lightroom is good enough and it won’t cost the earth.

10k on a ring. Well that is a lot I would be nervous too! After a quick Google, there are a whole bunch of services you can choose from. Maybe you could try that?

Channel 5, owned by the Daily Star douche. Sensational TV for idiots too stupid to form their own opinion and would rather be told what to get angry about.

As above. Call the police and explain the situation. It sounds like they are more bothered about the iPhone rather than the daughter.

Ahhh poor Rik. He really was great. As a teen I grew up on his comedy and he has always been a favorite… Mr Jolly lives next door was pure genius. Rest in piece fella.

You could take a dump in front of them while they smoke? But yeah, they should go outside rather than use a communal space. Do you have a building manager you can speak to? There could be something in the contract preventing them smoking in certain areas?

Hi Rob, Silas here! Glad you got the wheels OK. When I was looking into setting them up tubeless a Stans kit seemed the best way. Yellow tape on bare rims and then the rim strips that include the valve.

Might be OK with just yellow tape and valves, I have read about folk who have done just that. Might need a bit more goo though.

If cash, you can minimise risk further by not accepting fifty pound notes. Last time I sold something over 1k the guy paid with half in 50’s. Made me quite nervous until it was safe in the bank!

It has ended. I just checked my paypal, last night the status of payment was pending. This morning it says completed. So it looks like they have taken the money. This could just mean I now have to chase a refund when they cancel the order!

Just had my confirmation email through, it is now in preparation for shipping. At this time of night???? On a bank holiday weekend?????

Not a chance these orders will be honored. They would loose too much. Be nice if they did, I could use a new sleeping bag. We will all get a cancellation email on Tuesday.

Tim- just a quick heads up. The Easton Havens were amongst the wheels that had bearing problems. Just worth checking the hubs before you buy. May all be sorted now.

The keel could have struck a submerged object, who knows. I just hope the search will go on longer now they have found something. Hopefully when they get a diver in they won’t just find bodies.

I just bought a set of Easton EA70 XCT. £130 brand new from ebay, seller is surplus bike bits. I believe they have a few sets going. Currently on CRC for £230ish.

I have read there were problems with certain hubs in the Easton range (a kit is available to fix this problem) but from my research these hubs were not effected.

So far very happy with them.

Edit: around 1600g and UST. No need for rims strips, tape or sealant. I run them with goo though.

I have just bought a set too, just fitted and haven’t had a chance to ride yet.

Not sure about the paint work. Looks OK to me, yes very shiny but inspecting it I think it looks pretty good quality. The Fox forks they replace do have a nicer feel of ‘satin’ finish.

Got mine from 18 Bikes. Bloody great service.

Stans NoTubes Rim Strip For Freeride All Mountain & Flow Rims could be an option. They have a Schrader valve in the rimstrip. However the strip is designed for wider rims AFAIK.

Dino PC was going to be the one I would have bought from.

Ended up just ordering the parts and having a go. Never built one before but followed a you tube vid and in a couple of hours had a nice PC. Still working perfectly 3 months on and it was a fun experience.

My first thought would be some skate trainers with a solid sole for a cheap option. Giro have shoes at around £55 but if you are spending that much you may as well go for 5-10s. It’s worth considering that decent shoes designed for use with flats make a difference. Using shit shoes and shit flat pedals will probably feel a bit shitty. Sorry for the over use of the words shit and shitty.
