I mount mine in the top pocket of my camelbak as it goes on my head – try it, it works incredibly well!

I’m bald and sometimes have dreams where I have hair. It feels pretty good so I have a little cry when I wake up. 😛

    Little paranoid.

I’m aware of who is about when I’m going in or out with the bike. Had some dubious characters pull up next to me at lights once…bike on the rack and been asked if was an expensive bike! I have heard of people being followed home and then having bikes stolen.

I think just common sense applies. Get the blue.

    BEST TOPIC EVER.

Isn’t the royal family essentially German? On that basis I would go hairy…but then she is the queen and bobbly has her bum wiped by a different virgin everyday. I am going with (posh) waxed… after her bath in ass milk.

If I buy a Nobby Nic 2.4 UST tubeless tyre, do I need to buy sealant as well?

Whatever tyre you run you should defo use some sealant. The whole point of tubeless is that the sealant catches any punctures. You don’t need much. Stans is V good. Other options available.

Tubeless without sealant is kinda pointless.

Edit. if you get a puncture you have to stick a tube in. With sealant you don’t.

Yes I am sad enough to act my age.

If I acted like an 18 year old douche 24/7 It is more likely than not I would not be successfully self employed with plenty of bike time.

I would be asleep till noon in jizz encrusted pants and not a sniff of pu$$y in sight.

Or in your case RD very colorful pants.

Just a guide below…you really should look into planning regs for what you want.

    Situations Requiring Planning Permission;

    * Where the deck is situated within 20 metres of a highway.

    * Where the deck platform is more than 300mm (1 ft) from the ground (effective 1 October 2008).

    * If the structure would affect the amenity value or privacy of neighboring properties.

    * If the deck is attached to a listed building or situated in a conservation area or National Park.

    * Decking area covers more than 50% of the total garden area.

I have been searching hi and low for the same post, cheap as poss. Cavemans link is the cheapest I have found. Add a fiver for postage IIRC.

Then a 35-year-old man was arrested for allegedly slashing the tyres of TWENTY bikes, before ejaculating over the saddles.

The man has stamina, too much time on his hands and balls the size of water melons it would seem. Although maybe not after the 20th saddle.

Is it as easy as putting topics in say the chat forum for non related bike topics and maybe the bike forum for those that are?

Sounds like you went to the beach and got sand in your vagina. The guy is only just getting to grips with tabs…give him a break.

If I’m not mistaken you can run stans flow ex with just yellow tape and no rim strips. I do on my std flows. As I said on the other tubeless thread my rear does deflate over time but I have non UST tires.

I don’t really care about weight, maybe it is a lighter set up?! But I haven’t had a puncture stopping ride in going on 2 years. Odd puncture yes but the sealant has always caught it. To me, even if tubeless weighed more I would still do it.

Mine do. Or the rear does.Stans Flows rims. Non UST Ignitors. Occasional pump and it’s all gravy. I’m sure proper tires would solve this but rubber isn’t cheap.

    I can live with it.

They look like cracking bikes but having seen the discounts that kick in (later on in the year) on previous models I would wait. Looks like they sell out fast in all but the small size though so poss a matter of timing.

Got me some of them Nukeproof ones. Cant fault them, contrary to the above post I have found them pads I can wear all day. The sizing is spot on too.

Have also got some Brand X knee and shin. The are also pretty good, for the price. Shin protection too. I found the straps to be too long so criss-cross the straps and that has made them much better. I wouldn’t want to wear them all day or on an uber hot day in the Alps but they did me just fine.

“By the way if anyone here is in advertising or marketing… kill yourself. No, no, no it’s just a little thought. I’m just trying to plant seeds.
Maybe one day, they’ll take root – I don’t know. You try, you do what you can. Kill yourself. Seriously though, if you are, do. Aaah, no really, there’s no rationalisation for what you do and you are Satan’s little helpers, Okay – kill yourself – seriously. You are the ruiner of all things good, seriously.”

Where is it being sold at £1326?

    Google isn’t helping me

Sorry for the late reply. Got mine from Plush hill cycles in Shropshire. Now sold out. Next best I can find is

    http://www.realcycles.com/m1b186s1p4703/_SARACEN_Ariel_142_2013/RS_GB/11288 LARGE ONLY

I did see it for 1376 somewhere else…still trying to find the link…will post when I do.

I agree with above, at full price it looks over priced. Compared to a Norco sight 2 SE for 2500 and better kit. The Ariel is a bit of a risk considering reviews are scarce. I reckon they have slashed the price to get them out on the trails. Might kick start peoples interest.

I plan on posting a mini review once I have had some time with it.

All sounding good! Once my Five is sold will go for the TALAS (120-160) just to make the ups easier and the downs even more fun. Cheers all. Happy to hear you enjoy the bike.

Was just looking at the difference in the LP and the Turbo. TBH I can’t see anything that makes me think the Turbo a bad buy.

    LP gets you…..

Lower profile unit that is rotated 90° resulting in cleaner cable routing

Requires 1/4 inch less exposed seat post in order to ride each drop length

Upgraded 2024 aluminum resulting in a 500% increase in strength

New more flixible cable housing for better cable routing

More clearance for the back tire

Turbo LP unit now bolted to the post instead of bonded

    17 gram reduction in weight.

All seems a bit meh to me. The turbo just works. And you can buy one in the UK.

Thanks for the info rj. Yeah I think the changes have been minimal for 12/13. Good fun all-rounder is what I am hoping for.

Interesting you make the Five comparison. Had a Five for 3 years but have been looking for something a little different. Like the Saracen for it’s linkage driven single pivot. Slightly steeper HA but a 160 TALAS would sort that.

The planter on the left is wonky. The bike is nice! The rear tire with the white stripe has got to go.

Just a thought on the TMARS post.

I had one, or one of the many variants, before buying the GD. I didn’t rate it at all. I found the remote to be awkward to use and the seat would not always return fully to the highest position.

A dropper post has to work well and quickly for it to be worth having and enhance your riding. From my experience it was a hindrance. Buy cheap buy twice bla bla bla.

    seavers

Gravity dropper turbo. Really expensive though. Got one on sale but was going to go for the HiLo.

The GD really has been a cracking post for the last year, not one problem…not yet had to service. Like the fact it can be easily stripped when necessary and parts are readily available and don’t cost the earth.
