    Install Appsfire,

Its an app that gives you info on lots of paid apps that are on offer or free. It’s pretty useful and is updated everyday.

I was under impression that HDEW was grey import? What kind of warranty did you get?

If you are into your camera type stuff do a search for ‘camera price buster’. Lots of good info there including recent price drops and bargains.

Pretty sure there is a thread on here where they are universally slated.

Quite a few people at our studio have ordered personal kit from them, all Canon 5dMK3’s. No import tax, free delivery and the warranty has been one from Canon and not with DR. I couldn’t say if they were local warranties though. But can text a mate and ask if you like. Yes they are based in HK so I don’t know how they avoid import tax but no one I know has had an issue.

I’m planning on getting on using them for a Mk3 in a couple of weeks. What ever you do don’t use Simply Electronics. Grey import stuff, SE warranty which is next to useless.

Hummm, well I have ordered from them plenty of times. Mostly Brake pads but other stuff too a stem and a 10mm QR. Everything has been spot on but I have done so knowing they are not the best when it comes down to customer service. I am happy spending a few quid with them but a wheel set, no way. Too hit and miss when it comes to build quality.

In your case, you have 7 days from delivery to return, distance selling act and all that. Suck up the postage and get your money back.

NW….I was going to go for the dual position Lyrik…I know the 2 steps had issues but how about the Lyrik RC2L Dual Position Air? Reviews seem pretty good.

Lyrik 2 step are were the best fork I’ve run all round.

    That is comforting!

Yeah… I’m not sure on CTD. New bike came with em, I have always had RS forks. Personally I am finding setting them up a bit of a pain, when I get T right D is rubbish and when I get D right T feels like C.

    Lyrik it is then.

Hey singletons….It’s the E harmoney free weekend from today until Monday. Only problem is if you start right now you might just get done filling the forms in by Monday.

The really great thing is though they will carefully select 3 perfect matches for you in the whole of the country. In my case I would not have poked them with a sh***y stick.

Just join POF. That is free and you will get loads of messages from fat chicks, not only that but all your messages to the women you like will be ignored. Then when you do meet someone you like you will date for a few weeks, have some nice meals out and some very kinky ahem…just to get a text a few days later to say she has met someone else!

Dating at 38 isn’t easy. Probably isn’t at 20 either but at least you are not as bitter and jaded.

    😛

I definitely saw a ghost once.

I was 6 and I saw the figure of a woman by a local community center, one second she was there the next gone.

Thinking about it I’m not sure if was a ghost or a penguin or just a woman who walked off. Pretty sure finding my home made boomerang became my main priority just after the sighting.

What about this job…..Did a shoot with the Bolton fire service today and this was one of the candid shots. These guys were training hard in a lot of warm kit! During the shoot they also had to go out on a call in full kit which had to be pretty hard.

The only answer is a Vaseline. It’s not nice when it happens but every time I feel a bit of soreness down there a little bit of vas not only allows the cheeks free movement but also protects the skin and allows it to heal.

    Worked every time for me.

    sadexpunk;

Was thinking about your post and your son. I didn’t see the original thread unfortunately. I don’t have a son in that position but my brother was. He smoked a lot of weed, took other drugs and ended up in a very bad way. Sectioned twice, the first time I was working in the US and hated being too far away to do anything.
As a family we stuck by him every time his depression took him down. This lasted years and it was the most worrying and draining time for us but things did start to change. Once my brother accepted help (a whole different battle) it came down to a very good doctor and mental health support. To this day he is still on Lithium but the dose is regularly monitored and now reduced.

I remember feeling helpless at the time and wanting desperately to be able to flick a switch in his head but in retrospect I believe that nothing was ever going to change until my brother took the first step and accepted the help on offer. Once he did and he was being cared for by his GP the changes in him were amazing. he has now taken control of his life and is working in a school teaching music production. All I can say is don’t give up…with your help he will come good.

Saunter, wander around for a while. Breathe. Clear your head.

Then, step back in to the real world. It ain’t that bad!

Bloody good advice for those rubbish times, something I rely on to gain a bit of perspective.

CG. Can’t even imagine what that is like. I know we don’t know each other from Adam but thoughts with you tomorrow.

I heard “Where’s me jumper” on 6 music this morning!

It had all the guys in the studio singing along while munching on bacon butties. Great tune!! 😀

I would look at the wheels, are they tensioned correctly?

Maybe it’s the forks? Could be the tires if you are running tubeless at low pressures but I wouldn’t have thought they were too big for 719’s.

SLX Chainset ordered Monday night, here yesterday. Not OEM, proper packaging like. Way cheaper than any UK online places. I use them and others regularly and always had great service. No Haribo though.

If money is an object do what DiscJockey says and save the £300 plus it will cost you for a whole new chain set for a new bike with the spec you want!

for your ref.. I have gone 3×9 to 3×10 to 2×10. For my riding 2×10 and a chain guide is my sweet spot. It was not a cheap journey though.

Rockshox Lyrik are bloody brilliant. V plush and stiff, better than fox in my opinion, humble as it may be.

Edit…check it has lockout…if that bothers you.

I have seen your ad. Not in the market for such a steed but I think pictures would help, show it off.

Also your AD is just a confusing list with no grammar. At best it is hard to read. Break it up into points, maybe add the bike history too.

I’m about to sell my Five but I don’t expect it to happen fast. I think that sometimes you just have to wait until that one person comes along. Might be days might be weeks. I do know that if you want to shift it you will have to put in a lot more effort. HTH. 🙂

Turn it the right way up! Better still store it the right way up if you can.

Leave it (right way up) for a bit and then pump the leavers. It they should get better but you may still need a bleed. Avids by any chance?

    Found this….

    Monin Matcha Green Tea Syrup
    70cl
Matcha green tea is stuffed with antioxidants, vitamins and other good minerals, and has been used in Buddhist tea ceremonies in Japan for over eight centuries. This powerfully-flavoured syrup may not be quite as good for you as the real thing, but it’ll certainly add a delicious green tea flavour to exotic cocktails and mocktails – recommended with thick tropical fruit juices.

Maybe you have a substance that you would add to a drink rather than make tea from it?!

Never heard of this syrup tea of which you speak. Love green tea and had many kinds but always leaf.

Report back if you can, I would be interested to find out the deal.
