Good offer from the poster above! Come winter I gym it more than bike. I know it’s not your thing but how about walking, get to know the local area on foot? Or you could join a club of some kind? Kick boxing will keep you fit.

Not a bad spec for a cheap desktop. Although I would rather have Windows 7 before Windows 8. Unless you have a touch screen.

You can also go down the Hackintosh route! Build a a PC and run OSX on it.

You could invest in the cryptocurrency Coinye West.

Although Mr West doesn’t seem to happy about it. Fish Sticks anyone?

If it is an aluminium one with an intel core duo chip version it should run Mavericks. Circa 2007?

I think £400 is at the very top of what it is worth. Bare in mind iMacs of this age were issued with software disks that only work with that particular machine so they should be included. If you want to run Mavericks and it is not installed already you need a copy of Snow Leopard as this will give you access to the app store.

Also it is possible to run some of the older iMacs with 6gb of ram even though they state 4gb is the Max. Alongside a new iMac I still have a 2007 24 inch jobbie. It has 6gb installed and runs very well although I found it was sluggish with video editing and large files in Photoshop. Concidering its age and what I have put it through it is still a very good machine.

Photographs at a festival wearing denim shorts and hunter wellies.
Photos On a beach jumping in to the air and kicking legs back.
Photos with duck pout/sucking invisible spaghetti
Photos laying on a poor tranq’d tiger in Thailand
Photos sat in a giant polo mint on a photoshoot
Photos with hand on hip, stood side on to camera, head tilted as far as it can get to shoulder, knee bent, stupid pout, and stupid eyebrows.
Photos of a group, every single photo of a group of girls, no idea who you are.

Any of the above is an immediate no for me (admittedly it doesn’t leave many girls left!)

I shall go on when I think of more

Please do that make me laugh out loud. So true!! And we all know what “I like to try new things.” means.

Are you saying you found a dead pixel on a new Edge 810 and they want to replace with a refurbished Edge 810?

If that is the case I would not accept. Refurb may be as new but it is often the case companies sell refurb units at a reduced cost. I would go like for like replacement or refund. I wonder if accepting a refurbished item has any consequnces down the line? consumer rights etc.

Having done the cheapo Forca types, Gravity Dropper Turbo and now Reverb, the nicest to use has been the Reverb. The GD Turbo was also very good but not nearly as slick on the plus side it was easy to maintain and parts are reasonably priced. I like the Reverb for being able to set it at any height, it’s smooth and looks very nice!

I think interviews with the people stuck in the 4 plus mile tail backs behind Mr May would have made an interesting addition.

You could get a full bike Saracen Ariel for <£1400 not so long back.

I bought one of those, 142 for £1350 (half the RRP). Was a solid frame for sure. Come up small though and paint chipped easily. It was a lot of bike for the money and very playful. I bought it without trying it first and unfortunately never felt at home on it so sold after a couple of months and bought a Zesty that was on sale. All in, a much nicer bike.

I would be interested to see if they offer the heavy discounts again this year. Their new range looks really nice.

I was looking at the TR before I spotted the Zesty, the frames were still going for over 1K then though. For £875 they look like a bargain.

Only 2 high horses so far?

I will happily make it 3. Guff of the highest order, gushing ‘celebs’, emotive music over meaningless sound bites. And the worst thing is, people think it matters!

If you will excuse me I have the whole series of Magnum PI to catch up on.

I think it’s about being savvy and not buying stuff you don’t need just because a retailer hits you with an inflated RRP and a massive hard to resist ‘saving’. Just look at those jewellery channels that sell a ring with a RRP of £1500 for £9.00. Or DFS!

Find what you want and do some research and don’t get caught up in the moment. They pray on the greed that exists within all of us.

It’s a nice gesture from your new neighbours. Why not invite them round for a slap up meal, some nice drinks and get to know them.

As above, protected? Also the Excess may be as much as replacing the presents etc. Although they may have damaged the car too which could be a costly repair so maybe a claim would be worth it.

Never. Once had a KitKat that was all chocolate and no wafer. The right thing to do is use both and see what happens. If you are unlucky you will die or on a more positive note you might end up with the ability to see though time.

Edit. Or should that be Thyme?

I got stopped as a student, it was 3am, dark no lights and I was on the pavement, once they’d ascertained the bike was mine. They let my tyres down and sent me on my way.

Buggers! I got caught as a student. No lights on a pavement. They slowed down in the car asked if I was a student to which I replied yes and they were on their way. Edit….I hadn’t been drinking though!

My dad was rear ended by a ‘morning after the night before guy’. he was stationary at a pedestrian crossing on the way to work and was hit from behind at 50mph. He was driving a Volvo at the time, not only did the crash mash the rear end but it bent the thing in an upwards V shape. He wasn’t badly injured thankfully and the person had crossed the road so they were OK but I still remember seeing the Volvo and being pretty shocked.

I too was going suggest core exercises, while your saddle/saddle position may not be helping, problems with pain down your leg could also be down to underlying issues.
