TS1 is just the town centre. Pally Park is where the aliens live.

Postierich, liking the house number. I'll copy that soon 😉
For me, 6mm/5mm/4mm allen keys fished out of jean pockets just before washing 🙄

    Mmm, that'll be Distict 9 then 🙄
I'm undecided about Section 13 but probably coz its covered in loose gravel and cinder. The last couple of times I've binned it has been on similar surface and it makes me nervous 😕

I'm starting my build this weekend. Pikes, double & bash, XT wheels etc. Only wish I'd remembered to order a seat clamp with the frame, DOH! 🙄

    still looking to sell?

Yes, but it'll be in a month or so and I think I'll stick it on ebay with a fairly high reserve. I'm watching a full standard bike, from the same year, going for about £1K at the mo. What would you be willing to pay?

It would be nice to get £600 for it but if it only went for £450, it'd kill me! 🙁

How come you don't like it?

I do, its great but looking at some Fox 36s for it. So might cost only a bit more to sell this and get this years 5 AM. 😉

Rosetta campsite in Peebles. Loads of bikes & seems secure.
If your there 2 days, do a shortened black route & red at GT (day 1) then the red/black at Inners (day 2). I had the best 2 days riding every earlier this year even though I had a spill 50m from the bottom of Cadon Bank at Inners (a very sore drive home).
Be prepared for drops, rocks and sketchy berms once you head down at Inners 😈

The farmers always tend to be local colloquial.

I have no idea what this means! 😯
I take my own shit home, can't stop other from not but would have a "word" if that type of business was witnessed. 😉

Pikes, at 140mm, are good enough for most of the riding I do but quite fancy some 160mm Fox 36s.

Anybody know if the frame prices will stay the same? Neon Orange 456 SS could good but there are no pics 😕

Spent my honeymoon in Limone, 5 years ago. Went mid september and was warm but had a couple of rainy days. I was a bit limited on time allowed out on a bike though 😉
    You'll love it!

Both mine & a mates existing bolts pulled through the bash. Ended up getting 4 of those in the link from my LBS, though for £4 😀
Fitted mine to M760 XT crankset.

I beg to differ, unless you were lucky and your existing bolts had a big enough head to fit the holes in the bashguard.

Thats seems pretty much blob on to me! I've upgraded my last 2 bikes till the only original part is the frame. Then sold the frame & put the better parts onto an nicer frame, and so it continues…..

Thanks for the info guys, looking more as if the 36 Talas would suit me.
Geetee, the wife would love me to get another bike, NOT! 😆 I already have 3 😉 The 5 is a better bike than I am rider although I can feel improvements I make and it does push my riding on.
I think I'll beef up the hardtail a bit so that I use that a bit more then get the 36s for the 5.

I kind of like the pain/tingle sensation 😳
Certain sections of Dalby, 3 weeks ago, was getting quite over grown with them. Lots on the arms when leaning into corners.
Samuri, I once saw a guy fall into a bomb hole filled with nettles. His body was covered in blisters 5 min after he climbed out, OUCH! 😯

I'm scouring tinternet now for offers on Lyrik U-turn. I'm still tempted by the 2-step though, as I think I'd use full travel more, just don't want to be caught out with the 115mm setting being too short.

I'm really lazy with maintenance, luckily the Pikes seem to have needed none in nearly 2 years. I split my riding between 2 bikes though.
FB, any idea if the 1.5 deg change is just in the fork or has the frame changed too?

    Thanks Fozzybear.
Would the 2-step be too low on the 115mm setting for normal riding on the 5? Anybody else have these forks on a 5?
I'm also looking at selling the current 5 on ebay and just buy a 5 AM new. Would get the lighter swingarm with maxle, Fox 36 Talas and also reset the clock for any servicing 😉

I was happy with Pikes on the 5 last week, but starting to consider bigger forks now as I could put the Pikes on the hardtail. I guess I would go with either Fox 36 Talas or RS Lyriks 2-step.
Both around the same price but with Lyriks a bit heavier.
I think I'd be happy with either but which is best?

Whats going on with those drop-outs?
Looks like it can be swapped for sliding but non drive side it vertical. 😕

Happened to me last year, very disconcerting when your fork legs start to bend like that 😯

I was thinking about Lyriks today, for my Orange 5. At the end of a 3.5 hour ride I was happy with my Pikes though, no more bounce needed.
I may think about some coil forks only for future (if any) uplift or alps trips though. They wouldn't be permanent fixture.
