Think you will have trouble tbh, the pitch has a very bent seat tube near where you would mount mech

Im sure you will get on well with them, my 55s are very nice forks, enjoy!

Ah didnt realise that they changed the travel.
I was tempted by the good price on the 2009 55 rc3 which i bought and to be fair they changed for the 2010 version after the 3rd time return, if i didnt have a spare fork at the time i would of been without a bike for 12 weeks which could of been a pain in the backside.
As rockthreegozy has mentioned they may be a cheap way to get a new set if they are coming with warrenty, but if it was me i wouldn’t bother, way too much hassle!
    Hope this helps!

    edit:
If its more travel what about these, not much more than you were gonna pay from your lbs.

yes because pre 2010 bombers are useless, nothing to do with the rc3 bit.
The previous owner probably refused to have them back.
The 2009 forks i bought were with windwave 12 weeks out of 16 weeks of me owning them, sent back 3 times before they changed them.
If you do buy them make sure you have a spare fork

Maybe try these, they dont look as harsh as chains. can use them on any sized wheel as well which may be handy.

Wouldnt use pva, many plasterers advise this and its bad advice imho.
Pva forms a skin on the surface of the plaster just like it does on your fingers-skin this then can peel off when you get a build up of paint in the future.
A mist coat of the colour paint your going to use is the correct procedure.

op states bare plaster walls, i take it the paint come off in sheets leaving the plaster free from all paint, in which case shouldnt need lined.
But yes i agree if theres traces of paint left it will look bloody awfull without lining.

Sealing the plaster with thinned emulsion is for the paint to adhere, not to help coverage.
No need for lining paper if the plaster is clean

I use the isopropyl alchohol i use for the bike with a soft cloth

As per teef’s advice, the emulsion needs to penetrate the porous plaster,
instead of lying on the top

I wouldnt go near the place for a while, if it doesnt warm up a little the snow that fell in these parts will be here for ages
There is way more snow than there was in jan and that took quite a while too shift

The pitch is the same from 2008 onwards, just a few parts changed here and there. Was given 10 out of 10 from the mags in 2008.
I love mine, couldnt think of anything i would change it for.
Used for all day rides as well as playing about on.

As above, i use a rogue on short rides, the pump goes in the mesh bit.
Although it looks like it might fall out it never has.

I love my gore phantom, great all year round with use of baselayer when needed.
Only downfall is its near impossible to fasten the sleeves back on yourself unless you remove the jacket
