When I said ripping out pp I meant the woodwork. We will put pp back when we can however, to become an official trail, hopefully better…

There isn’t a problem in riding cheeky trails, it’s the illegal building and promotion of the place.

There is a very official relationship with fc, and a good one. However some people dont do official unfortunately aware of it or not.

Just had pink panther pulled out partly down to them vids, caused a bit of trouble for a local shop as well. Probably not a good idea

It’s good however could have been better,if it had been done without upsetting fc.
Landings are a bit flat but suppose you can’t do then with a folding saw.
    Shame really

What Fox spring was it Andy, from 160 or180? Presumably 180?

You are too light for the stock spring.
Undo the coil side to allow coil to come out. Then undo damper side, push fork 100% of travel allowing coil to come up.
Then whilst pressed tighten up damper side cap.
You will need to pull fork apart to insert sorting and tighten spring side.
    Try that it should work.

I was told there wasn’t another spring I could use by windwave, however UK bikestore stock a soft to spring for them.
    This though is 170 quid…

The recommended oil level is too much for anyone light, hence my comment on filling to bottom thread on damper cap instead. That still wasnt enough for me though.
Also tried lighter oil but still ramped up to hard in mid stroke. You can feel the neutral air in the cartridge when you remove the coil and compress the fork. Sending this into negative pressure makes a huge difference. I couldn’t get enough negative just by pushing down and opening the valve I had to do it by removing coil first.

I spent a while chatting via email, even sent them back to be checked. Shaun is very helpful but couldn’t come up with a solution in the end for me. He asked marzocchi if there was an alternative sorting, I was told there wasn’t. I note fund out you can from UK bikestore which I find odd

Even with neutral air in the cartridge you can feel it ramp up near the end with the coil out

I’ve been having similar problems as you Andy. Did you have any luck?
    What do you weigh?
What I have done and have managed to get near full travel is as follows.
Undo coil and damper, compress fork allowing coil to come out. Set oil height at bottom thread on damper side. Compress fork fully then screw damper side cap back up, you will then need to pull up on uppers to get coil back in. Tighten that up and hopefully that should work.
I am 9stone ish in my birthday suit.

sand it, fill edge of old paper then sand filler. seal filler with a bit of paste then line it, i’d paste the lining with a ready mixed paste. once dry if you can see any imperfection through it just fill them away with filler on top of the lining paper, sand then paint…

ive finished servicing them, (55’s) and left the wrap off. there is a little noise but not worth bothering over. i find as soon as the wrap breaks up it causes stction and notchiness

Johnstones aquatech WATERBASED gloss is the best waterbased gloss ive used. Make sure its the water based and not acrylic. i would use the waterbased undercoat for it though as waterbased glosses tend not to stick without the u/c and peel. Its the closest to oil, waterbased paint ive used in looks and application.

good enough for me thanks… was concerned it might cause wear on inner stantion but cant see that wrap doing much to stop that anyway i guess

you’re looking at a drive at least. pretty good location to be honest, we are right in the middle of scotland and the lakes so hour and half drive to either. for somewhere closer try chopwell.

chances are the shrink wrap has broken up on the coil and is causing the sticking you are getting. undo the nuts etc on the top, pour out the oil and cycle fork up and down to remove all oil. pull coil out and check the wrap is ok. repair if it isnt then fill with oil fasaten them up and all should be good again.

edit: lowers dont need removed to do this and is as straight forward as that ^^^

I’d hazard a guess at tight it bands

clamps on racks tend to pull it around the frame? its got holes in it now from few rides on the back of a car. I hang my bike in the garage on a bike hanger and even thats ruckered the tape

Not a fan of biketarts stuff, its a bit soft and looks shit after a while. no good for clamping in bike stands or car racks etc

chances are what was on the wall previously was a contract matt which will wash off. What you need is a vinyl matt of decent quality. Dont buy dulux vinyl matt because thats shit now and expensive (however i see they have changed it recently) dulux endurance is silly expensive but good.
As said above ^^ go to your local jonstones/leyland store and buy leyland vinyl matt at a reasonable price and use that

edit: dulux diamond is better than endurance but again overpriced

you want the none serrated ones

    seanodav

you could put a patch of lining paper over the crack, tear it around the edge instead of cutting. then fill the edge of the paper away with fine filler until you cant see it

The problem with using caulk is, if it is closing up it will push the caulk out and looks worse imo
