Think mine was about £440 delivered with a headset/seatpost/spare hanger. I didn’t get stung for import duty but I have heard that others have.

Maybe so, never said it wasn’t a good route to take, just suprising how many recommend it.

But still though, find a table, hit it for 3 hours straight and surely you’re going to get it in the end.

Always suprises me how much people recommend coaching on this site.

You’re over thinking it, pedal – pump as if you’re going to manual off the lip – level out – look for your landing – aim for it

The arrival of a bike that I couldnt ride due to the missing parts was also a little frustrating on a rare free weekend.

You couldn’t have taken pedals of another bike>

Bought an Unich the other day, really like it. Bonus is it has a botton on the top to control airflow.

I’ve seen loads of Cube’s snap. A certaqin bike shop in Leeds has a cube graveyard in it’s workshop.

I lasted 7 weeks before I had a melt down and told my Micro-managing Manager to go fist herself (shortly after recieving an email from head office offering £100 to anyone that places a candidate using the most imaginative scare tactics). Now back in the sector I left earning more money/less hours and with a clear consciense.

You’re going bald, there is no obscure reason why. Male genetics.

Shave your head, wear your helmet, suck it up.

Find my friend? She wouldn’t be able to track your ride (i’m not sure she’s bothered about that anyway) but she’d be able to use gps to locate you.

Grew up with dogs that were left for 7hrs a day, they were fine.

I’m 29 now with two young energetic dogs and have previously worked a very flexible/slack job which saw me at home a lot. Now i’m looking at a commute with no chance of getting home during the day, I’ve organised family/friends/dog walker and cleaner to come in up until xmas, after then I’d hope they’d have got used to it.

The media has warped stuff a bit. Even though we love them like children, they’re still dogs. They’ll be fine.

I never imagined the Spousal Maintenance would apply in England, presumed it was just in America. I’ve always been quite clear with the other half about not wanting to get married, this confirms it.

No good experiences I’m afraid. Hyper extended my knee playing football which damaged the meniscus, Dr said i’ve now got a tear & degeneration. It’s been a year now and i’ve not been able to find a Dr that willing to do anything more than say “you’ll just have stop running/cycling & playing football”.

Shows the depth of talent the UK has in downhill though when it can be discussed that a legend like peaty, ranked 20th in the world and finishing 16th in the world championship can be discussed as maybe not the right choice for the team. I still think he was the right choice this year, but can see it being his last.

I hope it didn’t come across like I was knocking him. I agree though that for some reason we’re completely dominating DH at the minute and i’d be good to give some of the up and comers the experience.

He made the top 20, beating Danny Hart and Greg Williamson.

He gets the occasional good result that someone ‘coming up’ would get, but he’s ‘going down’. It just seems like we should face facts and let him run syndicate and do all the other sweet stuff he’s up to, Bren might have been a better bet.

    I still love Steve though.

why did we only get 3 seconds of peats runs as well?

i guess there’s not much to watch any more. No doubt he’s the done more than anyone for the sport (especially in the uk), but in the last few years do you not think he’s been included in the Worlds team just out of courtesy?

Watched all 97 riders this afternoon. Mullaly’s run was amazing. Heart sank when I watched Josh float over that bridge! He deserved the double.

Whilst I can sympathise (I was a bike mechanic in various shops for 7 years) I think you’re kidding yourself if you believe you’re offering a ‘public service’, maybe it’s just the way you’ve written the first post though.

As above, I wasn’t paid minimum wage for long. It’s a case of proving you’re worth more or leaving for a competitor. It’s widely accepted that being a mechanic is a job you do for love not money, it’s not likely that you’re ever going to earn over £25k being a shop mechanic.

Despite being able to see the fountain in Central Park from my bedroom window, i’ve never been on one of these rides. I’ll be there on Tuesday, say ‘hello’ to the guy riding a Voodoo with tattoo’s.

That’ll be me by the way.

Really don’t know why these dogs aren’t banned.

    They are.

Trouble is with staffies is they are being bred irresponsibly by people who give no thought to the temperament of the animals they are breeding from. Hence a lot of overly aggressive dogs out there.
This week a friend of mines springer was nearly mauled to death by a couple of staffies. One of the guys I would say is a responsible man but his dog is just a liability.
In my opinion only registered breeders with fully vetted dogs should be allowed to breed Staffordshire bull terriers.
That in my opinion is the only way to save the breed from ultimately being banned.

I agree with this completely. Staffies are dime a dozen in the council estates round here, i’ll not be surprised if there are some sort of restrictions in the next 10 years. That being said, if that dizzy cow off the program last night can get her fight bred pit bull authorised (after fighting only a few hours earlier) in court then you’d wonder what would have to happen for them to be seized.

    Euthanised.

You can apply to have your pit legalised as long as you say that “I didn’t know it was a pit when i bought it” and it passes a behaviour assessment.

I watched it. I’ve got a Staff and an American Bull so was expecting a large protest outside my house this morning. Alas there was nothing, neighbours can’t have watched it.

Joking aside. The lad that had the red nose pit was an absolute waste of space. I’d put money on him being well known to the police in his area, so it blows my mind that he thought he could participate in the filming of the show without his dog being siezed afterwards. I wouldn’t be surprised if the police turned up and took it while the show was still being aired – and rightly so.

The clip of the red ‘irish’ staff pulling down those tree’s was nuts, i’m a big advocate of bull breeds and firmly believe that its ‘the owner not the dog’, but some of these dogs have not even been given a chance. I’d be constantly on edge if I lived near any of these people.

Obviously Sheffield would be the perfect place to live (for me anyway), but as she is the bread winner earning more than double what I do i’d struggle to convince her to move near to my lower paid job.

Yeah living in Worksop would give her a 41 min commute and me a 30 min, so a village on the lincoln side of worksop should even things out (it’s about 40 mins from scunthorpe to lincoln).
