Had a visit to a timber merchant on the list, just wanted to get in the mood on a Sunday night. I’m not sure we’ve got one in town, but i’ll track one down.

    Right thing.

He may have needed someone to notice he needed help before admitting it to himself.

    So much inaccuracy in here.

The 1/35 stat has been around for a long time, and is based on the number of identified peodophiles Vs gen pop. The stats obviously being based on the criminal definition of peodophilia.

Yes it’s an abhorent, but it’s is defined as a sexual preference (which is something that I really struggled to come to term with whilst at uni and during my first few working years) and i’m not sure how (without chemical castration) we can treat or divert it in future. Throughout my career i have come across both adult’s who have abused children, and children who have abused their minors and gone on to be really dangerous predatory individuals. It is so much more wide spread than most people would think.

Tin of cheap hotdogs, maybe 40p? One tin can be cut into maybe 200 tasty mouthfulls.

Have a minority of people convinced themselves that they’re so in tune with their bike that these things really impact on the weekend’s 20 miles rides?

Did you accidentally run it over? Ours loved playing chicken with my front wheel on our first few rides, a mistake it has not repeated.

I’ve done this, ended up with him biting my front wheel and popping my tyre. I thought it was a bit over an over reaction till i got home and checked him over properly, massive cut to his front leg. I felt like a dirtbag for the rest of the day.

I’m 29, partner is 32, currently starting the IVF process (i’ll be glad when it’s over either way, it’s not making her life very pleasent). I don’t know if starting any sooner would have changed anything but it was only after 2 years of trying that we found out there was a problem. After a few procedures for her, laprioscopy etc, we’ve been told that it’s ‘undiagnosed infertility’. We’ve been lucky enough to have been offered IVF on the NHS (only one cycle compared to 3 in other areas, but you shouldn’t look a gift horse in the mouth), and have decided that we’ll give it 3 goes, if nothing happens then we’ll knock it on the head.

We were both quite ambivalent about kids, but I guess you always want what you cant have.

I couldn’t trust someone that drags up a 9 month old thread.

Passed 2 years ago and bought an R6 as my first bike, i’ve not crashed it yet. I’ve had to sit it up in a corner twice and ride it into a bush, but the alternative was learning it in to a pebble covered road and sliding into the bush anyway.

In hindsight I would have probably progressed much quicker on a smaller bike as the r6 really is a pig at low rev’s, but I got this for such a bargin I couldn’t resist.

Superstar have some cheap ones, I’d just get one of them rather than mash up the end with some cable cutters.

My gf earns double my salary. For the most part its fine, I get to drive round in her nice fancy car and I live in a house that I couldn’t afford to live in if my partner earned the same as me.

We do have monthly conversations about what I can realisticly afford to spend on stuff that not the mortgage, sometimes she forgets! So she buys alot of the furniture etc that she likes because theres no way I could lead a normal life if I was trying to keep up with her.

Thanks for the recommendations. I’ll keep looking, i’d like it to be a fairly cheap stop gap because as soon as the moves over it’ll not be long before I get myself a Capra or similar.

I do it in the shower with a cheap disposable razor, takes me 2 minute now. Against the grain is fine. You’ll cut yourself a few times to begin with but you’ll quickly get used to it.

Yeah, certainly very lucky. Although we have lived on a very minimal amount for the last year or 2 to enable us to do it. Playing the long game.

Ours was the same. Good as gold for the first 8 weeks at puppy class, when we got into the level 2 group we’d sit as normal for a few minutes then the next minute he’d be latched onto another dogs face. They asked us to come back with a muzzle or not to come back. We tried for a while but it wasn’t helping so we jacked it in.

He’ll still attack dogs when he first meets them, but if we spend 10 minutes with the dog/owner Win will be on his back wanting to play.

He’s a staff, so at least he’s doing his bit to destroy the stereotype.

I’ve had them maybe 10 months? They’ve had a fair bit of use and I’d have liked the axles to have lasted a bit longer but not against replacing them as its not as if they’ve sat in the box since I bought them.

Staff an Am bull. Both fed twice a day at 7 and 19. They both race each other to finish and then stare at the other one til they’re done as well.

Currently waiting to find out if MrsScunny’s endomitriosis has made her infertile, op in 10 weeks.

It understandably heartbreaking for her – and me!, but my lack of empathy (I have some low level social/dyslexia/aspergers thing, you probably wouldn’t notice if you met me in the pub but people that know me do) makes it hard for her to talk about it and i’ve been pretty strict about not involving our parents. Shit for me, moreso for her.

    Could be worse.

Used to be a BMX track in the 70’s.

I live a few miles away, only went once, did one lap and put my bike back in the car. I don’t know the owners but i’d struggle to believe they are riders. It had the potential to be quite good fun, nothing crazy but there could have been some trails, a pump track and a half interesting loop.

    Ah well, it’s not missed.
