If you are both on iPhones then you can setup find my phone for both to see. If android then can use Google to track. Garmin have live track. Not sure if any of these give 6 figure grid references but will get very close
If only doing low mileage I would avoid the diesel as you will have problems with DPF and EGR which can become costly.
I’ve just had a look on autotrader a few Peugeot 308sw’s about, Skoda and Astra’s within price.
Mobile telecoms. You will have useful skills that are transferable from IT to telecoms industry as it relies more and more on IP stuff. If you are not afraid of heights then there is also aspects of climbing towers within the roles.
Look at Ericsson, O2, Vodafone for these jobs.
Great in summer but can be tough in winter 50m up a mast in the rain and freezing conditions but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
RIP Hannu, Absolute legend. Winning the London to Mexico rally in FEV1H that then spawned the escort Mexico’s as well as developing the Audi quattro s1.
So so sorry to hear this, you have had more than most people have to deal with in a life time in such a short space of time. Got very dusty all of a sudden here. Condolences to you. Really hope 2021 is a much better year for everyone but especially for you.
Diving cylinders are usually either 232 or 300 bar ( over 3000 psi ) and have air in them ( trimix adds helium ) Co2 cartridge won’t have anywhere like that.
Biggest risk as said above is landing on it and hurting yourself that way.
Best way to carry is on the bike itself. Strap it under the seat like on a road bike.
Sorry to hear about your crash. As others have said go to A&E to get checked out.
Even though you think it’s only soft tissue damage you could have internal injuries. At least at A&E they will send you for x Ray to confirm no broken bones. Spinal injury may not be causing you issues now but could mean life changing if things aren’t right.
Using the 220 minus age my heart rate for years was always in threshold / anaerobic area meaning I ran out of gas quite late on in rides, however I’ve been doing a lot of work in zone 2 on zwift and the improvements have been substantial. I’m a lot faster yet don’t feel as if I’m working as hard and then when I want to go for it I can go harder for longer. It’s all about getting base fitness rather than top end. Maybe boring but it does help.
Zwift on the laptop but watch tv / listen to music to get away from the boredom of the zone 2 work.
Also do an FTP test to help understand your max heart rate as the 220 – age is good for general population but rubbish for individual
Been excellent. As said above amazing what the vets had to say.
Did a parachute jump 27 years ago in my military days, those aero conical chutes are ‘fun’ to steer.
Really feel for you. We had to make that decision 2 years ago with one of ours. Mass in his stomach and tumour under his tongue. The day we booked him into the vets we took the day off and spent it with him.
Truly the hardest thing I have ever had to do and deal with was making the decision to say goodbye to him.
Getting tearful just writing this. Condolences to you and your family’s.
Just remember you are relieving his suffering.
They do seem to make huge imprints in our hearts considering their size.
Gave up diving a few years ago, various reasons. Not usually allowed to dive in ressys but they are a few inland quarry’s. Stoney Cove near Leicester, Dorothea and Vivian in North Wales.
Diving in the sea around the Uk is more challenging than the Maldives, cancun and such but there is still plenty of marine life and soft corals.
St Abbs is good being underwater while the Gullimots dive down into the water above you.
Scapa Flow for the wrecks from WW1.
St Kilda is stunning.
Plenty of Diving around if you know where to look.
If you’re interested join a local club as they will probably have plenty of trips going.
Spent 7 years on bases with Tonkas. Love them. Seeing and feeling all aircraft from the 4 squadrons at Bruggen at the end of a exercise get airborne simultaneously was quite an experience
Been getting this on both iPhone using safari and Samsung tablet using the Samsung internet app. Have just turned cookies off on the tablet and the privacy pop up thing has stopped. Maybe give that a go
I’m ex military so can sympathise with your thoughts. Spent 12 years in the RAF. First year / 18 months demobbed was good as new job / area and enjoyed the challenge but then had a couple of years really missing the life but eventually got used to being a civilian. Friends and family are key to adjusting as well as enjoying your new job and the additional time off you get.
Could be Ofcom drive trials of mobile phone networks. Paging, Packet Data testing and as others have eluded to could be ham radio. Doubt taxis as they seem to use non hands free Mobile phones these days
Lights on my old e39 5 series were woeful, think they were about 1 candle power. Seems with most BMWs the standard halogen lights are very poor. I upgraded to after market HIDs from these people. https://www.hids4u.co.uk
Whilst still not brilliant they were much better.
I know that potentially they may fail an MOT since the government changed the law but you could just swap back to halogen bulbs for MOT leaving the ballasts in situ then plug the xenon lights back up after.
Sympathys to you as we have the same job tomorrow and it has broken our hearts. We only found how unwell ours was 2 weeks ago so haven’t had any time to deal with it.
Can highly recommend the Conti wintercontacts. Have them on the both cars, no problems at all and snow performance fantastic. Also won Which tyre test.
Yep, got a Bfe frame on the way ( Red ) so will be building that up with parts from an old FS that doesn’t get used anymore. TBH looking forward to building it then giving it a damn got thrashing 🙂
