Its ok but you dont get a run off cos of the ford, gate and immediate climb back up. I prefer to climb it having descended Hollins X (then on up to Hope X). I am always interested to know where folks go having done it as a descent, cos the climbs are horrendous thereafter ie up to Hollins X or Chap Gate.

Have M ’07 575 and 5’9. Had sit on 5 alloy M and felt spot on too. Where are you demoing please mttm? would you report back please after demo cos i too are looking very closely at buying… cheers

Not via mail order but have in person. Very underated I feel and dont get the recognition that they deserve. Good father/son combo i think and provided me great service including price matching with CRC. Massive shimano stock and generally well stocked of other gear and bikes. Daveb575 – what fork/travel you having? UK staff recon 140 voids warrenty but there is nothing to say this on the Yeti web site. Infact they quote geometry for 140mm settings…. Fox Float 140 dropped to 130mm seems to be a good option. Not convinced 120mm is a fair match for 127mm at rear. I am interested to know what is best suited to the ASR5 (alloy and cabron) Cheers gang

Aesthetics/balance/symetery are a Human Need (according to Humanistic Psychology). How many people tend to other pride and joys ie house and home, garden, self-image, car, personal appearence etc… Its important in our drive for becoming at one with ourselves and therefore being at our best… Just off to polish my steed! How much time/money do maunfacturers spend on making their bikes match up with colour coded parts, trim, paint jobs etc all to please our Aesthetic Needs… According to theory ofcourse…

I will never forget the time on a local blast when I bunny-hopped the back end a guy’s fishing rod as it trailed across the path. He was not best pleased. I did regret it afterwards…. That spoils tow-paths for me during their season but its fair enough…

I had 130 U turns then moved upto 150 fixed (’07 575 though). I do think the 150s are a fine match and fit very well. Infact its made things only better not worse. That said it also uped things to Maxle through hub against the qr so thats probaly contributed too.

try these: have a riding partner, have some SMARTs to motivate you, ride with alternate turns at junctions ie right turn, left turn, right turn, left turn etc see where you end up? (similarly with a partner take it in turns to choose left and right turn offs or straight ons), reverse your ride, treat yourself to some new kit? Enjoy!!
