have o7 model and is excellent. there have been many posts on here about 575s and nothing ever bad said about them. great decenders and excellent climbers. can be built light 25-27lbs easliy or upwards to 30lbs for constant heavey use. Go and test ride one, then buy!

think they are available in black (if not maybe iits the black/maxle combo thats not…). Try web sites for Je James, Merlin and CRC, at least to brouse….

got same message this morning so ordered on line. I only use crc as a last resort these days and after 10 years of fantastic service, well 9 cos this last year they have gone to the dogs!!

bit late repling but….. was visiting my bro in abbey this weekend and did some walking including this route (that I have rid both ways before) and would recommend you ride it clockwise from abbey finishing up down passed the old mine works ( as opposed to starting there and finishing down off Blackey rigg)if this is your chosen route…. Ground very frozen most of way round too.
