I dont mind about the roadworks speed limits but those mobile vans are just a money machine! No signs, no warnings, and they dont even have signs to indicate the change in speed limit between the different sections of the road. I came round the corner behind a truck so couldnt see the van in time before I realised I was now on a single carraigeway, about 500metres from the dual carraigeway I came off! Done for 71 in a 60 zone :-(

I got caught on the A9 going North last week, 4 mobile units along the road, and because the road keeps switching from single to dual carraigway, the speed limit jumps from 60 to 70 all the time, and you forget to adjust your speed.
    Absolute money grabbing w*nkers

If you keep an eye on TK Maxx, I got a pair of Loake brogues in there for 39.99. May have to take a few trips in, but well worth it

hmm not sure if the police would already have done this, but you should check the engine numbers in case they have swapped the engine out of yours. Id consider an RAC inspection just for peace of mind, then if there is anything wrong due to mistreatment you can go back to the insurance company

So you go to the website and the transaction is made via the website, and you put in your card details and press the submit button right? At that point the card number is sent in encrypted format to the server and it does its processing in a secure environment and the transaction completes. As a business they have to store customer credit cards securely in order to process transactions. So Im assuming that when you go back to the site, your browser is automatically populating the credit card number when you put your name in the first line? If thats the problem, then its your local machine thats populating that not the server, unless you have some sort of login happening. If it is local, then its just a case of deleting your browsing history and its gone….

Or I may be getting the totally wrong end of the stick! :D

I was at Cairngorm last Sunday and it wasnt too busy at all. However the funicular broke after lunch and it then got to be a pain in the ass as everyone was on the tows!

really maes you want to get out on the bike and the filming and riding is amazing. Thing I like is there is a bit of every kind of riding, and some of the stuff really looks like the kind of trail riding you would do here.

OUCH! That was very similar to a crash I had at Les Deux Alpes a couple of years ago, my life flashed in front of me! Had to get helicoptered off with dislocated shoulder and broken ribs. Not a good memory! :(

Definitely not, even at the busiest centres there are excellent trails which are out of the way and nowhere near downhill. Most centres you have to cycle to the top anyway and there are some amazing routes through great scenery. For bang for buck, they really are a great option.

    Hi mate
If its any consolation, I also had my bike nicked and believe it or not got it back! A guy on the bikeradar forums saw my stolen post and recognised the bike had been brought into his bike shop for repair, by a scroat who obviously didnt know he was riding £1500 bike. He contacted me and I went round and collected the bike. The guy had came back to the shop threatening the shop guy when he wouldnt give him the bike back, but he stood his ground and locked the bike to the rack in the shop. Guy never came back. I bunged the guy some cash for finding it, and also had to pay for the repairs that it needed, but it was worth it to get the bike back!
My advice is go round the small low level shops in the area as that is where it may end up for a service etc.

Hope you get it back mate

You say Telecoms, is that general telephony or comms as in networking? Are your particular skills in demand? Good to know if it all goes pete tong if you will be able to jump elsewhere. I took the leap into contracting recently from a permanent job Id been in for 10 years. Contact centre telephony….. lovin the new job, but the 3 month contract thing is a little stressful, and my partner has just fell pregnant and we were going to have to move house, but now cant get a mortgage due to being newly self employed! I would say go for it, as it will be a small gamble with potentially big rewards!

Shakin your hand TJ :D Its a hard one tho, as Im not sure that someone who has done something so utterly evil as this guy, would be put off by knowing something bad has happened to another abuser.
To me its more about just getting rid of him from society as there is no place for him, especially a place which we then have to pay for.

Look mate, you are entitled to your opinion and Im entitled to mine so no need to go around saying people are talking bollox. I dont know what qualifies you to speak on the subject, and I dont really care, I know my own experiences and thats all I need to form an opinion.

And yes I have seen the inside of a prison mate, and have met many ex-ofenders who paint exactly the same picture as I have just painted, most of them will admit that there is no deterrent in going to prison.

I think all the bleeding heart muppets that give it the big boo hoo because some gutless **** who feels its socially acceptable to take out the anger he has inside about how bad life has been to him, on a defensless, innocent little kid, is exactly whats wrong with our society. This guy should have been given an injection as far as Im concerned, as he has mental issues that make him a danger to society full stop. As it is, he will be sitting getting a free university degree, taken to the swimming baths twice a week, given a personal trainer to help him get fit, and then he can relax to watch his in-cell sky tv, at our expense. If he suffers a bit, then all good

The way I look at it, the full susser has been shouted about as the answer to everyones prayers, but it depends on what you prefer. It seems the consumer wave had only just got me onto a FS when all the mags were shouting about long travel HTs! And if dulling the bumps makes you go faster to get the same buzz, then all it means is that when you come off it will be more painful and damaging. So as a 40 year old, Im thinkin of headin back to where the grins started!

I know what you mean about possibly prefering the Hardtail. When I first demod a full suss, I was confused because I felt as if I was going really slowly on my regular trails compared to my hardtail, and I seemed to be pedalling on the downhill whereas I didnt need to on my HT. I asked the guy from Spesh and he said its because it just felt slower because I was used to feeling every bump etc. I now have a Trance and whilst I like it, I do miss the directness of my HT, so Im thinking of speccing up my Rockhopper Pro to get back to MTB duties instead of a city hack. And I do think a long travel HT does look better than a full suss
