one of the reasons i went for the 6 led light is its versatility, i.e you can change lens to what suits me and at the same time it will be upgradable as new leds come out in the future.

With the round lens you do get more lumens but you are stuck with the lense

Over the years I've tinkered with lights to good effect and was actually thinking of making something similar but had no way of getting the housing to the standard that chris has done. The componants he is using are all proven and should give no problems, the leds are of course untested and like any product could be defective but they will be the same as used in any named lighting system eg hope etc.

A couple of my efforts were a used hair gel tin and a modified mag light

so does that mean that us guys who have ordered a self build could be getting ours soon? 😉

Where do you get your thermal adhesive from. In the past I've used artic silver but notice you mentioned artic aluminium, you can I believe get a double sided tape also?

What scheme will you be getting it through?

Ive just got one of These and am very pleased. I had to go with either evans or halfords. I was looking at the focus bikes on the wiggle site but when i contacted focus they said they no longer have an account with halfords. Merlin do a road bike for under a £1000 that may be worth a look.

I read a review somewhere that said they weren’t that good?

Is there anything on the fuji you would ask evans to change, I was thinking of asking them to change the tyres for something else. Not sure if they will do that anyway, no harm in asking though I suppose?

To be honest we could go for halfords or evans. My mates getting one from halfords and i didn’t want the same so i’ve gone for the fuji from evans. I know absolutly jack S**t about road bikes. Currently own a rock lobster and am still unsure how much use the fuji will get as i like being out in the country more than being on the road; apart from the the twice a week a will have to use it for work of course 😉

I only get out with MCC very occasionally due to family commitments at the weekends, I work with Pete who plays a part in running the club and get out with him during the week every now and then. I’m pretty sure he wont mind me telling you you can just turn up and ride with them. If your meeting them at the bluebell hill picnic site some of them park outside due to the height barrier at the entrance to the car park. hope this helps and I’m sure he’ll be along soon to confirm this.

I’ve only ever used the thudbuster LT so no real experience of other types. all i do know is that it is the only one that has constantly got good reviews over the years.
