One thing to note is Ti and carbon bikes ride completely differently. The aggressive Carbon HT I rode wasn’t very forgiving to use long term. It was also very harsh on rough terrain I would personally only go carbon for a xc race bike.

On a side note: Even though I own an aggressive Ti hardtail I still think Steel is a better option. Save your money on the frame and invest it in carbon wheels, carbon bars, group set etc.. Low down central weight (the frame) isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Rotational and high up weight is :)

Saying that if you can afford 3k/4k HT go for Ti and the Carbon accessories ;)

Cheers for the advice Steve, in that case it might not be worth the trip for the green, its over an hours drive from where we are staying north of CyB.

That’s why I ask Steve he will be fine with the down but he will need a push of the steeper bits.

I might of missed this but one of you can fill me in, is the search function gone forever or is it on the list to add?

Using Google ok but clunky.

I went here at the end of last year, its a great place in the mountains surrounding Valencia. I’m in there vid too (The slower rider).

Proper off the grid, adventure style riding, very natural. Also lovely villa, hosts and food.

I had this same issue, carbon paste is what you need.

Its basically easy – all you have to do is ride like this: https://www.pinkbike.com/video/483932/

I have raced Tom plenty of times and not even come close. Ironically the closest I have ever got (within 6%) was at a DH race in 2013, he was on a FS (Spech Enduro) and I was on a HT (Dialled Holeshot). I’m convinced that was the fasted bike I have ever races or maybe I just felt fast.

Also I’d change your tyre if I was you scottfitz, the one in that photo looks in poor condition…

No Idea what that is, block of wood? or why its in that pic.

Sad news, just shared via Southern Enduro’s FB page, Justin was a regular racer :(

I race enduro on a HT and love it. Age category or Hardtail category is irrelevant, sold my160mm FS and bought a second HT. I just have more fun on a HT, get bored very quickly on the 160mm FS (Transition Patrol) even though I got some good results racing on it.

To a large extent it depends where you are, what type of trails you are building and soil type

If it actually involves rocky soil and digging, then In most cases I suspect a decent mattock would be your best all rounder

This but if softer soil sand/loam swap the mattock for something like this:

Wheels hold up tubeless fine and go up easy.
Tubeless valves
But the Trail King tyre is in the sale as an additional item with no mention of it being used tubeless or whether is has latex on it or not.

No, it’s the tyre fitted to the wheels.

What the description says to me is: You’re buying the wheels/rotors/valves and cassette and I’m throwing the tyres in for free.

As such, the tyres have no value, thus there is no chance for him to have ANY refund.

Pictures clearly show the tyres on the rims.

I think the continentals are a great idea. Still could do with a bit more structure to the qualifying events, even if its the way the advertise them.

IMO you ad clear clearly states they are set tubeless. Buyer is trying it on, call his bluff, give him nothing, full refund if he covers postage.

By replacing two current crank axle standards with one new one, SRAM will also be drastically reducing the number of bottom brackets it needs to produce as well.

That is the my favourite bit.

On the other hand its good to see lots of British bike brands attending.

Ti Springs counts as a UK aftermarket suspension upgrade company, not that it helps you.

@gribble The stuff Tor5 is referring to are steeper and loose than the main DH stuff. They are to the north west of your Google drop pin.

^^ I’d read the the Commencal was one of the hardest and least comfy rides of all the loony HT’s. That’s true for most Hardcore Alloy HT’s IMO

Anyone had any experience of these guys? Did you use the standard frame builder configurations? There doesn’t seem to be much scope for angles etc.

Pics and details greatly appreciated!

What town/village do you live near on the A272? And I can offer some route advice. Also the New Blue route a QECP just south of petersfield is a good place to start for beginners
Edit: just seen your reply, bit to far into sussex for me to offer advice sorry
