Scott/QECP collective et all – The more I think about it, Sunday really was one of the best racing events I’ve been to in a long time! You really should be proud. The tracks were fantastic – catered for both novices and those who wanted to push themselves that bit more…. Nothing was ‘stupid big’, but was challenging enough (at speed, or if you chose the harder route) to be great fun and keep you on your toes!!

It was fantastic, really enjoyable and I am completely broken… Will the results be online soon? I had to leave straight after….

Result by Tuesday but that not my bit so i can’t make that happen any quicker 😉

They were accessing the railway for maintenance. Its really had to find out when they are working in the area. I spoke to them and when they can back we marshalled them though.

I was trimming my bush up there last night and every rider I spoke to was saying how loose it was. I have never seen it like that before, it’s like sand but so much finer. I reckon that some of the comers are slipperier than when it is muddy. 😯 i think if i was racing i would go Minon DHF/Larson TT combo with about 25 psi.

I remember the Cannock Chase trail pixies having to have words with some guys who were taking a shovel to one of the Monkey descents (can’t remember if it was Upper or Lower Cliff). They were trying to dig in a shortcut to go straight down, so they didn’t have to do the switchbacks. Although I guess that’s more vandalism than maintenance.

If you have time to vandalize trail because you don’t like them you that time to volunteer and help build them. Then you can give your input and save every one time and money.

I’m doing it next year (Well got permission from the wife) But I really want to do it on a HT but my Holeshot it’s to small to ride up hill and my PA is to XC Hmmm… Maybe stick with my prophet.

yep good one for the family. two of the stages (Stage 2&4) pass within 25 meters of the race village. We have at the race village, Food van, Ice cream bike, tea & coffee and cake stand. there is a big play area in the main park to but that is a 10 min drive away from the race. http://www3.hants.gov.uk/countryside/qecp/qecp-activities.htm

Innerleithen MTB racing have been doing this for years- they do day/night enduros where you race two stages, once in the day then once again at night. Well gid.

I am hoping to be racing on 21st but have not really been to QECP except when passing through on the SDW.
Thinking of heading up there tonight to have a look. Are the tracks to be used around to have a look at or is it strictly out of bounds until official practice etc?
Will go anyway and have a look at the red run and all your hard work.

You will not find any of the enduro trail unless you know where to look (none of them are near the red or blue trail)The only day we really don’t want people to ride the trail is sat 20th because we will be taping them and don’t want to get run over. No one apart from me and a couple of the collective know all 4 stages and how they will be taped out.

The red trail will give you a good idea of what to expect, Roots, chalk, smaill drops, jumps, berms, Steep Climbs!! etc…

We are riding over Kingly Vale/Stoughton tonight, shame if we were at QECP you could of tag along.
