njee20 & edlong i think what freeride_frankie is trying to say is that if people get involved a bit more with build trails in the first place you will have more of a say in what they turn out like. It should be about all working together.

Used them recently, posted 2 frame and lots of bit (about 10 times in total.

My experience so far.

1. Easy online system
2. Can pay with Paypal
3. Easy label print out.
4. Drop off is on my lunchtime walk route.
5. As far as i know all items have arrived in time and intact.
(I emailed buyers about the frame and they were delivered in time and intact.)
6. I will use again because it’s cheap and convenient*.

*I will make sure i over pack the items.

TBH you can do a lot to prevent broken packages arriving with better packaging.

You need a Capreo hub ,it has a 9 tooth sprocket ,with a 36 tooth ring gives the same top gear as 44/11 Cheers but new hub is to much of a faff.

No some people don’t like spinning at 100rpm off road.
Running 28/39 Sram setup 2×10 and having come from 22-36 feels good having dropped nearly 2kg from the bike and left single pivot for something proper.
Span out the 36 at times if I was on straight trails, the 39 is holding up very well even on the balls out bits at Roto last weekend.

DrP Nope not got one and can’t fine then on the web, only 38T for single set up.

im interested to see what trails at aston they use!

My guess is some new cut stuff, some DH stuff and lots of roots and chalk 😀 I should fell right at home.

there is an article (it think in the CTC mag) which implies they might resurface the SDW!

not sure about the need for that really! wouldn’t it be better spending it on new cycle trail rather than bridleways that already have funding for maintenance?

OP its only worth doing if the demand is there. If there a already local’s doing it there will be less demand, there is at least one in my area, used to be two but other guy had to pack it in (not enough work)

Also, scott, I’ll mail you RE setting these things up, as there’s been a lot of chat round our neck of the woods about trying something like this, but would be grand to get advice…

I rode a 2011 stumpy carbon evo at 2011 qecp demo day. It was ok but i rode the 2011 epic carbon evo i liked it better, shot up the climbs and felt nimble on the downs.

As superfli Said I have just got back from Pembroke, I also failed miserably to find any decent (offroad) riding. But I did go on lots of good rides with Castle, beaches, bridges. And one or two ok bridleways.

Where do you live there are is more riding in north Hampshire than swinley. Tunnel hill, porridge pot, minley, etc…

Excellent vid …despite very little racing in it, lots of transition filming for some reason.

DC cycles who made the vid were base at the race village. That’s why there is so much footage from around that area.

Hopefully the Collective vid will have more of the track in it. 😀
