What size? 27.2 KS Lev is working well for me.

Or Gravity dropper or xfustion hi-lo there are still options at 27.2

I think Aston is a great venue for Gravity enduro. We only rode 50% of the trail today.

I Liked stage 1 and 3 apart from the danger death corner.
Not keen on 2 it didn’t have any flow.
I think we run 4 the wrong way.
Real shame we didn’t do any of Black run, root canal or S2A.

Weather was good and didn’t fall off so I happy with that.

P.S Downhill tyre were a bad idea.

There is a event that happened in Oct 09 I think, We call it “Frogageddon” One night ride like no other, Shed loads of frogs on the trail you swerve round one and a 2nd went splat. On the faster bits you could not see them just heard a popping noise as they
    erupt under your tyre.

I’m selling one on behalf of a friend. Don’t think it’s over priced, you’re welcome to pictures if you want? My email is in profile…

Agreed the one you selling is at the right price, the one on ebay is £1,250.00

NNs don’t grip very well in mud, up until the point they clog, at which point they don’t grip at all. Or at least, 26ers are like that, 29er might be brilliant. (bet it isn’t)

    +1

Have you ridden at Aston in the wet Scott?

Nope but I will Sunday. Roots, Chalks, Mud & a Steep hill. What could go wrong 😐

Understood, but I thought that the footpath only ran for about 50m of the push up as this sectioned is also used by the golfers.

No that’s not the Footpath is the rooty bit that goes from golf course to the top of the hill. About 500m, I assure we will be going down the XC down otherwise we could of rode up that as it runs parallel to Footpath.

06awjudd – No need to be nervous ride at you own pace and have fun.

Push up route matches the 1.1km distance too (ish) http://app.strava.com/segments/2668946

its the climb up thats got me concerned!

From what I have read on the site it sounds like the push up to me.

“There is a section which is the official push up that you must not ride your bike on past the rider dismount signs. If we catch you peddling you will be disqualified. I have ridden up it as far as I could which is the steps and then pushed up at a good pace.”

“During the Transitions stages on the designated push up you will be on a public rights of way so dismount from your bike as warned. If we catch you on it you will be disqualified.”

I will go for the time ones mainly because there cheaper than Crank bro’s

    scottfitz

I would just get some normal time clips not the platform ones.

I have XC SPD and Crank brothers, I would like more of a platform, I only will use them for DH, For pumptrack and DJ I will use flats. And bike is to small to ride up hill, XC, endure etc…

I thought S2A would be used. Didn’t I read somewhere that they are going to allow some practice for this round and therefore I assumed they’d be sending down the DH runs and perhaps 1 or 2 new runs.

maybe if there is a practice but S2A has lots of non rollable features unlike all the other runs. I hope they do use it, would be a great spectators.

Sounds good CaptainFlashheart what shoe have you tried with the Z-Controls?

Edit: DH4s are only only 59.99 on Ribble.

I really like Time pedals, you actually get the support on the shoe from the frame and there is plenty of lateral float in the connection.

    yup, swamp things or not?

I’m leaving the fat albert’s on as they were great at Eastridge but I will have the Swamp things with me for a quick pits stop when I get there and check out the conditions.

Looking forward to gettting timings and rules etc today. Will be interesting to see if they just use the DH tracks

I hope they send us down the black run and 423, I can’t see them using STA.

and whether they still want you to carry loads of kit or not.

    My guess is yes.
