shame if there is a clash as Id like to do some of charlie’s races, but if the BES ones are bigger would prob go for those

Yes that is a shame, I now need to look at the Southern Enduro dates again 😕

Enduro events such as the popular Mondraker Enduro Series in 2015 and a number of other MTB events over many years

So have the red kite guys have teamed up with??

    pete68,
What kind of discount would you be looking for to sign up for the full series up front?

How would you deal with refunds if say you only did one round then got injured?

Edit: sorry Adam_Buckland for hijacking for my own gain 😈

The reason I race XC only now and again is because of course design and my XC fitness compared to my fellow racers.

Getting over taken up hill then having to cue/walk technical sections is what I have experienced in the past. Course design would help but if I’m honest I’m not the type of rider your events are aimed at.

I’ve never heard of Rogate, is that cheeky trails or a center or?

DH centre, but not to technical. Point is rides great after it rains but is rubbish when its really dry.

Great winter riding spot also not to far from location of Vlog 😉

If it was me, Rogate today then QECP tomorrow.

Edit: And while you guys are talking about local stuff, check this out, my Vlog from the new Southern enduro venue 😉

Dunno about QE, but after today’s rain I’d avoid THE OUTDOORS!
Rogate will be prefect after all this rain!

    Blue trail
Will be fine mostly all weather however the final decent is not finish as yet, Here is a short of it being constructed, It gives you some idea of the work that goes into it: https://vimeo.com/135917380

    Red trail
The red trail will be slippy but not to muddy. If your not good on wet roots I would avoid. The sections that ride the best after the rain are Final decent and lumberjack.

A good combo is the Blue trail with the red final decent at the end.

As one of the active locals (scottfitz?) said previously here – QE is best in the dry or when it’s actually raining. When its still a raining sloppy soup your cut deep and get grip. When it has rained a lot but is just beginning to dry it is at it’s very worst.

Yep that is currenty true. Also with all the Blue trail work we have been doing not maintained much of the red recently, that will be done this winter.

As someone that would be more interested in the DH sections than the timed ups, is there much queuing/follow the train on the DH bits?

Watching the Vids there looks like a bit but not as much as an XC race.

    Wheel size doesn’t matter
It did in *2014, winning combo was 26″ wheels in 650b frame.

    *It was stupidly muddy.

It’s made up of volunteers from several different corners of mountain biking in the UK – there are access officers, advocacy representatives from organisations such at British Cycling and the CTC, as well as journalists, IMBA (remember them?) and trail-building organisations throughout the UK.

I’m interested how this Group of Volunteers was ‘made up’. Anyone know?

It’s just that some of the organisers have decided to give up but others are stepping. The series should run well for 2016.

    That’s good news.

Do you think there is enough course with good parking down your place to run a round again, 2014 was great put a lot of parking issues.

Parking is the issue for our enduro’s too. The main park would be better for an XC race but it would be hard to get a race in there because of other users. I will ping you an email.

Just went on their Facebook page and read the post from the 2 July. Looks like the series won’t be on next year.
