Stage 4 was finished an hour after practice started. We kept it as secret as possible so them sneaky locals had no advantage.

IS the final section on the red gonna be open for the weekend? Bloody annoying when you’ve got all the way round only to find the most fun bit is closed!
Signs in the car park would be nice!

yes it will and it will be fun!!

Quick question – Are the stage starts all close by at the top, and will any water be available up there?
This year all stages start at the top of the hill. I will get some water up there but it will be limited.

And another if I may?? Will there be somewhere at the finish area to stash kit, like a thermal top, for after?

    yes sign on tent.

HD/HD is an option- might be sensible… Or I’ve got a Minion/HR combo too.

The joys of still being 26″….
personally I would go for one of the above

I haven’t edited anything. All stages are different from last year. My advice would be to ride stage 1,2 & 4. Stage 4 now starts where stage 1,2 & 3 start 😈

Oh where have I put 5 stages? It should be 4!!!

It wasn’t to bad last night, dried out in the 3 hours we were there. My choice would be aggressive trail tyres, at worst something like a shorty on the front.

Hm. How flexible is the camping? OK to just park a camper van in one of the car parks, or is it tents only? Camper vans and caravans are fine. In the camping field not the car parks.

I could make the transition longer but when I race I prefer the quickest/easiest way to the top of the hill.

Cheers guys, yes run a race on sunday and had a baby on Tuesday. Good timing I guess 🙂

As you can tell from this pic I always have a blast at Tidworth

Put it this way the elevation drop is simular to milland.

I will use all the trails at Tidworth but in 4 stages. Remix to the max. Hardest thing is to sort out a climb to the top.

We were very lucky at milland as a race organiser you don’t get faced with a blank canvas very often.

We got to add trails that we would want to race. Also that could be ridden and enjoyed by first timers and elites a like.

The good thing about the weather pre the race is it cut in the trails properly for the next race there and highlighted areas to avoid next time too.

Really looking forward to the set up of Tidworth, I have race there 3 times and I love the place. What a great set up and bunch of locals.

A couple of people have mention QECP so I will pipe up about how it is funded.

The site Is FC land run by Hampshire County Council(HCC).

HCC contribute £0 to the trail building and £0 of the £3.50 per day parking fee goes £0 to the trail building.

The trail building is 100% funded by the QECP trail Collective volunteers and the races they run.

Why would the bus be busier? Races can’t use the bus so I would think the bus would be quiet.

That was a fun race. Enjoyed the day, weather made it, proper Wales!

Rode 1 once, 2 twice, 3 twice and 4 twice. Wanted to keep on going but for some reason everyone wanted to call it.

Only bit I didn’t like was not racing with the other Hardtails. Being a small ish category it’s great to compare war stories.

I saw so may people I knew too. All the southern enduro heads.

The gulley (and latterly the areas at the top of Deerstalker/babymaker) are/were just an embarrassment, even when the trail pixies left bin bags tied to trees.

As you say with the dog egg. Maybe education will help. A sign saying take you litter home?

    scottfitz
    Free Member

There are no bins anywhere else in the forest outside the car park/cafe. Every other user group manages to take their litter home with them.

I 100% agree there is no reason why people shouldn’t take their rubbish with them but will they? Do they at the moment? Others user groups are just as bad, loads of dog eggs out there.

    scottfitz

I know trail pixies should be collecting rubbish but this is a managed woodland with bins. This area is near the centre just add some bin then get they can be emptied one a week. Don’t give people an excuse to litter.

    scottfitz

And for the rubbish just provide a bin at the top and the bottom of Freeride area.
