    Thanks kimbers

“southern series has a sport category”

I was eyeing up the ‘Fun’ category

Fun category is perfect, good introduction to enduro.

My plan as a racer is 2 day PMBA at lee quarry & Swinley endure then a mix of Mini’s, WGES and Pedalhounds that fit between the Southern Enduro Series

i marshalled this year as i did not get an entry as I had some friends going. Got paid but asked to have an entry for next year and they said no!! Charming after spending two days on a hill at the furthest point away. Ok i got to ride some stages but thought it was a bit tight Most enduro’s will do this for it’s marshals (Including sell out one!)

Swinley was dead last night, did a 20mile/3hour solo ride (including blue and red) and didn’t see anyone! Not as popular with locals these days? Mainly weekend warriors? Maybe just a one off.

If only the money from parking went back in to the trails. This might happen at some centres but none near me.

Well I really enjoyed that and my best results ever according to roots and rain. It’s great to have a buzz around the local enduro scene. If you haven’t already check out the peddle hounds Enduro info on moredirt.com

He wears one as he says most of the injuries he’s seen are to the chin!

I call BS on that, my bet would be collar bones. I don’t think I know anyone that has injured their chin but know of 4 people with collar bone/shoulder injuries just this year.

Edit: not saying you shouldn’t get at FF helmet.

Lots of life in enduro, most long running series and races still running strong selling out (PMBA, Mini’s, SES, Ard’rock etc…)

Some of the new series[/url] are doing well too 😉

On stage times, the Enduro1 I did at Swinley in 2012 the time were as follows:

Stage 1: 03:30 (started at gravel hill)
Stage 2: 04:12 (was in crowthorne woods)
Stage 3: 02:57 (Started at surrey hill)
    Stage 4: 03:52 (Started near red 26 I think)
Stage 5: 01:56 (this stage finished in jump gully)

Deerstalker, Labyrinth, stickler and tank traps were all part of the transition.

Knowing the Swinley Bike Hub guys it won’t be very XC. Looking forward to racing locally, its great to see someone else organising races so I get to race 🙂

7 stages sounds cool too even if they are all sub 2 mins each. 10mins plus of stage times is good.

If you buy full series at once its a little bit cheaper (£20 cheaper this year) the full series entries for 2017 will probably go on sale in December.

Round 3 (QECP) is sold out.

Round 4 (Milland) will sell quick too, entries will go on sale at 09:00 on Saturday 30th July 2016 if your interested.

also thinking of doing a one off winter enduro at the end of this year, no date or venue sorted yet.

scott is it actually possible to get a more dirt profile though? this absolutely scuppered me from entering the last round.

Can’t register, cant email the info account?
You don’t need a moredirt profile to enter. What was the issue?

You should go for DP or the heaviest casing you can bear.. repeated pinch flats are no fun and it so easily done on the top half of the Mega track, and especially the quali track which is very rocky after the glacier. +1

I’d at least go for the supergravity versions

    +1

Cheers for the comments guys, a couple of thoughts:

The transition I always make it as simple as possible, in the past when I have make a longer transition people just ignore it take the easiest route anyway. So I tend to concentrate getting the stages as fun as possible and taking any local advantage out.

As far as the venue went it worked out really well and I would look at going back there in 2017.

Now onto QECP, this will be the 4th year I have organised this race, Its becoming challenging to keep it fresh but as always I have some tricks up my sleeves.

On 2017 I have 3 new venues in the pipeline hopefully at least 2 will come off.

I have a spare entry for Tidworth as I can’t make it. I’ve emailed Scott so if there’s a reserve list someone off there can have it but haven’t heard back yet and am aware that it’s less than two weeks away…

Did I get back to you?
