The third ten you won't really enjoy much.

Are you getting the pattern yet?

I've been up since 4am with my 1 year old. She's now watching Wallace and Gromit and I'm on coffee number 3. This is not unusual.

Wait until about 6 months when you're utterly ground down, and then Post Natal depression kicks in. Then pop back and smugly denounce the naysayers. You're still in the honeymoon period; it gets much, much worse.

I don't understand all this forhead slapping like it was obvious. They have had theoretical fuel consumption figures, and actually running the car shows they are not accurate.

    It's not that bleeding obvious.

Ordered some from the US, and they never turned up. I'll deal with the UK only in future.

    Happy bedding.

    That's a nice thought, anyway.

I don't like Gripshift, but I do like SRAM.

Is it better than equivelent XT? That's like asking if Brown sauce is better than Ketchup; it's all down to taste.

It's all smoke and mirrors anyway. Who gives a flying **** if a prescription is £4 or £7? Car parking fees given here, average lifespan much shorter there.

How many free prescriptions could be given out with what is being squandered on 2 weeks of sport in 2012?

I had an 07 Pro and never had any Brain issues at all. Pivots wore, and Shock needed a service, but the brain went on and on

That's the spirit! The missing bit should be back by then, I'd think. It's on Yestube as the Rollercoaster, IIRC.

There is a catch up next Monday on BBC1 for those who don't have council tv.

It don't think his fitness, support or a bloke in front of him with ice cream has anything to do with it. He has the mental ability to dig in when it's utterly killing him. If he was that bloke in Take That who can't say no to a drink he would have given up. Good on him.

But you must do the slab drop bit. Everyone seesm to miss it out and it's a highlight.

One of the best bits is closed for repairs, it might be worth waiting until that reopens. Or go twice!

    It's rubbish. Stay away.

    More for me!

TJ also reckons that the smaller your brakes are the better they work.

    It's a topsy-turvy world with TJ

Go for quality not quantity. I have 2 proper wallops first thing, and then no more for the rest of the day. Much better than any decaff.

Otherwise try Hasbean for real coffee, decaffinated.

I never understood the obsession some people had with Minis. Hateful little things.

And then the new one comes out and everyone thinks they are great; not overpriced girly runabouts.

And I have driven both, before the obvious comments start to fly.

Myabe it's me, but aren't Avids made in the Far East? There's yet another POV that could say don't buy Taiwanese goods, buy Hopes from down t'road.

That is a bigger issue than simply going to your LBS and getting hit in the face with a grumpy attitude. Becuase if you think it's crap in retail, you should try being in manufacturing.

Good grief. Not only were they sexist, but they were posh, too.

Time to throw away the key.

Where my wife works (a school no less) the office receptionist sends an email (Code Purple) whenever some likely bloke walks in so the women can pass by and subsequently vote on.

Sexism is a 2 way street. Isn't it great?

    ScottChegg

    Of course it's sexist.

    But so what?

A better story is the Air Base in Lincoln that had a Grand Slam 10 ton bomb at the gate. A great talking point, until it was realised that it was still full of High Explosive.

It was reckoned that if it had gone off, Lincoln Cathedral would be a smoking ruin along with half of the city.

If they were that concerned about being seen they could have turned the lights off. Drama queens.

    I don't get it.

If he'd watched the scene in a mirror it's fine and dandy. The fact he watched later makes him a filthy perv equal to a peado.

    It's a funny old world.

Who uses cables on brakes these days?

    ScottChegg

That's crap. My neighbour had crappiflash and the builders are regularly out bothcing repairs. It still leaks, and it looks like a PG Tips chimp has done the sealing. Mine was done properly, with lead. And it's been snug and dry for 6 years now.

But if you didn't ask before quotes and before they start, it might be a bit late to renegotiate now.

    ScottChegg

    Take the hint.

Besides, if they are that crap at dealing with new people, imagine how lame they will be when you've been there few years.

15mm front is with 100mm flange width. 20mm is 110mm flange, so wider and supposedly stronger.

Rear 12mm can be either 135 spacing (as QR) or 150mm on the real big stuff. Most DT stuff can be converted within these limits, ie 20mm won't necessarily be converted to fit in a 15mm fork.

12mm rear you will be stuck with unless you change your frame. But why would you go back to QR?

32 Vans are more flexy than Pikes. They are also about half a pound lighter. For the weight of PIkes you can get 36's, and they are a much better tracking fork.

Yes. They burst into tears when it gets rocky.

What are you expecting? They are like QR Vanillas, but with a through axle.

Try it. Falling off isn't quite the same as dying. You may graze your knees; but that's not always fatal.

If you are near Jedi or EdO try them out. They only get positives for their Manupyoubigpansy courses.

My experiences of Evans haven't been all bad.

Wifey ordered a new helmet for my birthday. Shows in stock, money taken immediately. Wife waits a week and asks were it is. Sorry, they say, none in stock; we'll have to refund. Money back in bank following day. Day after, helmet arrives. They've sent it, and yet have no idea they have sent it.

So free gear. Can't be bad.
