Be rude not to share. Cranks taken off and brakes now Elixir CR's.

    Lovely.

    CRC have great returns.

If you don't think you have got £20's worth, you are at liberty to return them for refund.

A huge group of walkers and he didn't mow them down, and kill any survivors with his bare hands?

    I think that's quite good.

Not as a good as working search would be, though.

Wow, a real CK downer day.

I've had them for 10 years, never once have they froze. Mind you, I don't keep water in them, just oil.

    Why? Because they can.

Try it, it might be great.

My wife has no contact with her family at all, except for her Grandmother on her mothers side. This has been going on since my eldest lad was 3 months old. So nearly 6 years. It started when my mother in law stopped coming to visit. My wife tried to find out what the problem is, but her mother wouldn't speak to her. Which must have been a weird phone call. She tried to stay in contact with her (step) sister but she had mad mother pressure and stopped contact too.

They are all a liability and she's better off without the grief. As for her mother, she has never even seen the other 2 grandchildren she has. I've seen her in town and she practically ran from me to avoid the things I would say to her.

yunki – why would you need to 'confront' anyone. IT's dark. Say 'Hi. Move over, fast lad coming through' and there may be smiles and a bit of banter.

It doesn't have to come to banging heads over such a little thing, on anyones part.

I like my Kings. They need a strip and lube every now and again but they always look like new once cleaned.

I like my Pro 2 Hopes. Every year they need stripping, new bearings, pawls and springs, but they are good for the money. More so that you can swap axles and convert to nearly all QR and through axle combinations you can think of.

Either are a great choice. It's just how much do you want to spend?

    Net warrior alert!

Ranting on here is no good. Butch up and open your mouth at the time. I bet the rest of your ride was spoiled by muttering to yourself how rude some folks are.

There's loads on eBay, but around £400. Or is £200 the wifeprice?

Check past issues of STW. They have run a review of the 2009 every other month for some reason. Each conclusion has been 'disappointing'.

This months review of the 2010 Thor is much more positive. It finally is as good as they want it to be.

I always cheer for the Zulu folks, not the cockneys shooting at them.

AA Gill makes a good point; who are the good guys? The ones with rifles and walls to hide behind, or the ones armed with sharp sticks and a leather coffee table?

What you need is a comparison site to find out which is best.

Oh, and the optical link is likely to need a standard optical digital connect. Ebay again, £5ish

With that package you will (still) need an AV amp.

Get to Richer Sound and have a browse, tell them the budget and what can they do for you. Or hit eBay, I got my last Yamaha DSP amp off there for £100, and a set of Mission speakers for £50. Speaker sets tend to be collect only due to size so if you are in the area you may get a bargain.

I've had no compatibility issues with Hope, Shimano and Avid in almost every combination. If the disc is the right diameter, I don't think you would struggle.

I rode a set of BOS forks (n'Dee) in the US a few months ago. I liked them and looked at getting a set.

The retail in the UK was around £1250. 8O Fox 36's seem a bargain in comparison.

I've quite taken to Shimano Floating discs (6 bolt). They are available at a good price, and don't have the clearance issues I've had with my Hope/Fox/Chris King combo.

The reason for buying is they look cool. All the other stuff is incidental.

TPS is toothless and works less and less these days.

The trouble with saying 'no thanks' is that they always have a speech prepared which they pause while you say that…

… and then plough on regardless.

And if British Gas don't leave me alone, I'll be even more rude to the next Bangladeshi who rings me to talk about their new prices.

I admit I assumed it was the tipping point. All these new features were pushing the rodents to the limits.

Maybe STW should move to Guinea Pigs. They are slower, but more sturdy.

My 2 year old regularly wakes up screaming in the night. I don't assume it's a ghostly presence in his room; I assume it's a bad dream.

I feel so foolish now. Bring in Max Von Sydow

I don't think you have to give your address. The last time some tit drove into my car, I gave a business card and just took his reg and phone number. I gave this to the insurers and let them deal with it; that's what they are paid for.

Fair play that they have sent the top man rather than a cardboard cutout to look smooth on camera. It's backfired; but maybe he'd have been better on Sky news if he started booing at the end.

I saw the diggers up there yesterday.I hoped they were digging new trails and not just rearranging the several tons of dog poo that is scattered about the place.

The next dog walker I see will get a kick up the arse.

The black route was a bit icy and slippery; but so was the road.

Go to Citizens Advice, then small claims court.

If you have, as you say, a letter where they admit fault you must be home and dry. Take the paperwork for the court action to a meeting at the branch as a last chance to sort it out.

The TU-144 was killed off by horrendous fuel consumption. Th erange was so short, if it took off from Moscow, it couldn't leave the country without refuelling.

The US took an example of the Tu-144 and put the best US engines available in it. It still wouldn't work. It looked like Concorde but it was a poor imitation. That's the danger of looking over someones shoulder but not understanding what you see.

Branson should have been allowed to take them over; but the politics killed them stone dead.

I live in hope that there will be one resurrected, like the Vulcan. It serves no purpose except to make peoples jaw drop when they see it in action.

Ferrentino isn't my cup of tea, but I did enjoy the last one about trail ettiquette.

And as for the picture of Matt on P50; he looks like he has a single digit inside leg! IS it a weird camera angle, or is he really that short?

My best idea is don't worry about it.

Mine was 34lb-ish when it was set up perfectly. It rode brialliantly, so why worry? What you lose on the ups will be more than made up for by the downs.
