    Concorde.
No, seriously! I was going down the Thames tow path near isleworth and as I rounded a bend there it was. The full fuselage being towed on a big barge. It didn’t stand a chance!

Best Bit: Jump of Doom! Jump of Doom! It needs to be a feature EVERY year! Had trouble getting crossed up on it but it made me chuckle all the way up the lovely climb to the obelisk.

Worst Bit: Could have done with at least a dozen more stutters in the stutter bump teeth rattler. Wicked! Oh. And I forgot the Banana suit for the grand last lap this year. Doh!

A sunny Mayhem is a happy one. Everyone sempt in good spirits and the sun brought out the punters and punters better halves into the main arena…
    which was nice.

Hard really to compare courses as they have usually been guilty of giving me trench foot.

Your right about there not being many places to catch your breath though. It was either fast, twisty or a place not to loose your concentration. The new bit with the plasticine switch backy climb was very very energy sapping and the reward was an energy sapping switch back down hill that really didnt have a flow to it.. just break in – push hard out. Not sure that was fun, but it was testing.

    Anyway – all good.

    Anyone second that?
I don't mind paying a bit more for a bit of extra quality and less depreciation!

I have a soft spot for Endura as they were small enough to do a limited run of 15 team jerseys around 12 years ago and they are still going strong – and believe me, we have tried to kill those jerseys.. My 12 year old tights have had the gusset stiched once but they are still my favourite winter warmers.

I do like my Gore N2S softshell though…..

I had a lovely time when I ordered my Ltd ed. Boardmad team carbon from Halfords.

Lovely Annia called me back several times to update me on my order and it arrived a week early. The bloke who handed it over was practically beaming with delight and was happy to tell me that he'd been looking forward to building it all week and was dead chuffed it was 'going to get well used'. He even suggested some white upgrades 'from Wiggle'…

I walked out proud to be owning it!

If only it were mine. It's a good mate of mine who always makes his toys work very hard. The irony is that he left his X5 at home.

IN defence of Dyson v Henrys. Do Henrys do 'proper' uprights that brush the carpet? If so .. respect. If not..love the brush!

I've used my Dyson for traditional carpet brushing cleaning and sucking up endless DIY building crap and it has washable filters and the hoses can all be pulled to pieces for when you get a couple of 3 inch screws in there tangled with rockwool.

Are we all getting carried away with hoovers here??? How lovely.

Dyson – 9 yrs old. Still going strong. If needed there is a fixed price no quibble 'we'll come and fix it' if you call Dyson for abot £70.

    Or.. a Miele.

I may be wrong….it's hard to tell with all the gunk they are encased in.

There has been a lot of grit on the road….not quite Cutgate path though.

Thanks. I know ST forum wouldnt let me down..

So does the bidding end at 8700 BTU? 🙂

The room area is not 17m squared – that would be the matting area. Room is 25 m sq and has high lofted ceilings (average height of about 2.8m) and large patio doors + four velux. Its a modern build (new extension) so the 9000 BTU is from me going on taking an average of four online calculators and adding a 10 percent safety margin! I know they are not fantastic but what else do I do – employ a professional!!!??? 😉

So its debatable if I need the additional rad I guess. Will probably still go with just in case I my toes start to curl or something.

I didn't realise wet systems were so cheap to install. Funkymonkey – is £220 for a full kit including all controls etc? Ar ethey suitable for combis? I know they are cheaper to run. Ill definately have a look at that option now.

Any other gems of knowledge? Again all help welcome.

Treviso in the Picos is a must do.

The area is great for a week of cheap, good no nonsense biking.

Just keep wearing the same stuff!
My cycling shorts are 15 years old…….
My favourite shirt is 12.. not very trendy but we get on fine together.
Ah..shoes… I must admit when I was on my second roll of gaffer tape after taping and retaping the sole onto the toe box I gave in and had to buy some new ones.
Good luck with getting some work.

So that formula gives me the amount I lose if I lend 45,000 irresepective of the intial balance (before lending) and remaining balance (after lending) in the two month period?

It looks like it does but Im just checking.

£130 is what it works out to with 45K borrowed – doesnt seem like much but the interest rate is pretty paltry.

    Cheers again.

I'd have to look in the small print to check your assumption but can I assume that on a 'bog standard' savings account interest would be calculated daily compounded?

    Question – (1+1.75%) = 2.75 or 2.75% or 1.0175 ?

    😎

    Thanks!
