There will be nothing wrong with them that 6 months in a humidor wont fix. Even if the wrapper on some of the cigars has started coming away cigar glue will fix them.
How much is a fraction of the price? What you paid plus postage? If so I’ll have them.

I trust Neptune is having his wife and baby present, utilising the largest person on the ship dressed up as the baby in a nappy, a good one for the baby is to have a bag of brown liquid in his nappy which he will burst at the correct moment whilst hugging one of the uninitiated.
You will also require a priest to read out the right of passage into Neptune’s world for each of the uninitiated whilst the executioner dunks them in a suitable large container of the smelliest scraps from the galley topped up with seawater (IBC with top cut off is good for this).
The uninitiated need to kept in a prison for at least an hour before the ceremony then dragged out tied together to cheers from the on looking crowd.
I will see if I have some photos and put them up.

What you see there is pretty much how it is for land based drilling worldwide, much safer in the north sea/offshore except maybe gulf of mexico and asia, you don’t see chain tongs in the north sea these days (those chains you see whipping round the drill collars screwing them together).
Most of the rigs in the north sea these days are 4th 5th 6th and 7th generation units with full or semi automation taking some of the danger and manual labour away from the drill floor.

1981miked, on-line where possible and by post, you say you drive an HGV at the moment, what did you do before that, any mechanical or electrical or hydraulic skills, fixing tractors, heavy machinery, generators, pumps, trucks, cars etc.
Subsea construction from vessels have a varied base of positions from deck riggers through to offshore construction managers.
Yes all those companies take on non graduates, most of the time it is luck, if you send in your CV at the correct time and they have just landed a huge contract they will no doubt be looking for lots of people and if your CV has just landed on HR’s desk you have a chance of getting a phone call, perseverance pays off in the offshore game.

You mention S club 7, have you also tried Technip, Integrated Subsea Services, Bibby offshore for the Stauration diving Industry they employ electronics techs and train them up to be dive technicians for looking after the ever more complex vessel based saturation/hyperbaric dive spreads.
Also the ROV/RSE industry is busy at the moment but every body is trying to get into that at the moment, and generally they only take on degree qualified techs if they have hands on experience 5-10 years on relevant trade hydraulics or electronics.

    Technip
    S club
    Saipem/Sonsub
    ISS
    Fugro
    DOF subsea
    EMAS
    Canyon
    Deep ocean
    Hallin
    S3
    ROV op
    Mermaid
    C Innovation
    And many more

Old military road via Fettercairn if the snow gates are open and you have a 4X4 with winter tyres on and you are feeling brave.
If you have to drive leave early enough and go via Peterculter if you think the road is passable, if not all the way to Anderson Drive across town and out the A96, give yourself plenty time as Anderson drive A96 to Dyce will be busy, once past dyce you will be ok.
I am out past Alford but overseas at the mo so can’t tell what the weathers like!

Train, you can get a direct one from Dundee to Inverurie and plenty taxis at Inverurie station.
You really don’t want to be on the A90 if there is snow on it, queues of traffic back to Stoney possible.

And via Peterculter will just be as bad if there is snow.

timber, I have a 346xp which is just in the 50cc bracket with 18″ bar and is great for most of my cutting, I have some big wood over 24″ in diameter, so was thinking of upgrading for the bigger stuff as the 346 should only be used upto 20″ bar and not being a pro arb find it a PITA cutting over 24″ with the 346, so what would you recommend for occasional use with a 24″ bar that isn’t to much of a beast.

    Cheers.

I have been using em since they came out, easy to fit easy to set up and have had no major problems.
Bike components de were doing huge discounts on them, the am version, and the XO shifter was also cheap as was the HS BB.

I regularly pedal my DH 8″ at the front 9″ at the back bike to my local downhill runs about 6 miles there and the same back.
Shortest travel bike I have is 7″ and that gets used for everything.

Why does it have to be LHD on UK roads? You can order a RHD from a German/French/European dealer.

I have read somewhere that back in the 60’s when the SR71 was being designed Lockheed and the CIA knew that they would struggle to find enough quality manufactured titanium outside of the USSR, apparently those pesky ruskies were the leaders in titanium production at the time.
So the CIA knew they had to purchase it from them, (cant remember the bit about how they did it).
It goes on to say that only 15-20% of the titanium was of any use due to manufacturing flaws forcing the CIA/Lockheed to purchase a lot more from the Russians citing rumours that the Russians knew who it was for thus manufacturing flaws into the materials that were being ordered.
Quite amazing what with the cold war at it’s height around that time.
