    well ive moved over here not to ‘pack it in’ but because thats where my life took me..

    reaction was freezing, v slow and just went to 99% on the cpu.

    i’d have to run the chkdsk when i get home.

    so, a re-install of xp wouldnt help?

    ok so i couldnt use a restore point – it wouldnt let me..

    tried a chkdsk and it seemed to at first have a v bad reaction… now just back to doing the same old problem..

    any tips?

    system restore…hhmmm i think when we loaded xp on this year we then created a restore point.. how do you check that again – the date of the last one i mean..

    with that you lose the recent changes like program addons etc? or files?

    In my experience, no. Wimbledon council did a long drawn out case for me one time in 2007 and i got nothing at the end of it. Wear & tear in the road, even though i’d reported it before etc..

    take the tyres off, if they’re clinchers replace like with like.

    if your chain is needing replaced, have a good check of the chainrings, and cassette..

    i use sram – never had a problem. I have had a few shimano snap.

    regular riding, but climbing alot – i live in switzerland…not looking for bling per se, good quality most. Was looking at DT swiss but i forget the number, about 400 per wheel.

    Clinchers, and pref no aero profiles. i like classic styles.
