why is mudgaurd not an option? your seatpost doesnt have enough room to fit one? Your frame configuration means its not possible? You're too worried about asthetics?

doesnt matter really what light you have if you're just going to splat mud all over it does it..

not just that simple with itunes, you're going to have to do as DBW says then reconsolidate and a few other things…but i forget..have a look on the internet for changing location of itunes library.

well it is a series pook…and they tend to keep answers to the end..

so if someone wasnt in the states, or in the uk (thus the likelihood of getting to watch lost 6 in english dramatically diminished..) where would one find these episodes online? i dont know what the usual newsgroup/torrent sites are..

depends how you react to the general….i would play it safe – if ur out cold you cant phone them! its personal but after 4 of them i know how i react, and you want to protect ur knee if you fall..

spoon: i think exactly why this specialist thinks of cartilage removal as butchery. The problem is that once they start 'repairing' it, they leave a sharp edge, which is then easier to catch and re-tear..ive done it 4 or 5 times now.

There is a reason why the cartilage tears, it is all about force and load patterns. Ask someone to look at your alignment – for example a simple x-ray of your legs and look at where the force will go..if it passes right thru the middle of the knee then good..but as with me if it goes thru once side well you'll have a tendancy to injure the side with more force.*

*disclaimer – all in my experience and imho also..

Mtbphysio speaks the truth, fat elvis does im afraid take the responsibility of 'doing an stw' – well done that man.

Take it easy, I was told no weight for the first week & elevate, then the 2nd was intensive physio until i could weight bear.

Bearing in mind it was my 4th, and now I am in a really bad position looking at having major surgery to correct a misalignment..we'll see.

Here in Switzerland, the specialist takes a dim view of the British point of attack – removing cartilage..he even said the 4 ops I had were like butchery and not looking at the real problem…so maybe get a 2nd opinion?

Oh, and good luck – i hope it all goes well.

Try handbrake, much lauded software and very easy to use.

All I know is life got a lot less stressful when I switched to Mac.

seriously? Handbrake? Never have i seen such a slow program. The speed of DVD Fab 5 is 20 mins for a rip, less for a burn. Handbrake, i tried…2hrs for a rip and then it couldnt make a dvd could it..no no.. thats too much like hard work..

That is strange. We work on those machines and the flow rate whilst not the same for the two length drinks isnt that far off. The capsules are however the same, its just the recipe inside the capsule that changes (for ex, more or less coffee etc).

I dont know the specifics about the DG as im more Nespresso but we have flow times of 25 for 40cc and 45 for 110cc.

Got a MBpro, had a PC. Dont get an apple if you are expecting it to be 'Better', really.

You will find a few things annoying – dvd drive, you can only read different zones upto 5 times before you have to make a choice.

Software – there are most things, but a few that are just not so good.

print screen is more of a faff than PC – you actually press 3 buttons & get a pic file at the end of it….cant just click cntrl v to paste it…

dvd ripping software..nothing beats the PC's dvdfab5 in my experience, macs versions are rubbish.

the computer development world is gearded towards windows…if you are used to just finding that program to do 'that' job, stick with a PC.

I wont buy another mac but thats personal. ilife is ok and iphoto is v good especially easy but really the OS is not BETTER..

Horses for courses, but there alot of fanboys for both who will swear till blue in the face for 'theirs'..it is a tool that we use to get sth done..thats it.

I use it alot as my family live in the UK and i no longer do.

Excellent, free, video is useful – makes a phonecall much better and i can see my nephew & niece.

i use the built in camera & speakers on my laptop, but before just the webcam which gives fine results.

    CONS:
Waste. Surely the could have done refillable pods?

Really? dont think they'd have thought about that before?

Dont get me wrong, im all against capsule machines, personally i use a bodum..

Just maybe think about the work involved to make a capsule that is resealable and reuseable..

Chain side plates do indeed stretch, when you next change a chain lay old and new side by side. For an equal number of links the old one will be longer.

have you tried this with just two link-plates (one old one new) to compare?!

pretty sure you'll find its the wear between plates and pins that does it..

you dont know how lucky you are…here in Switzerland if i wanted a contract phone, i pay for the phone (nearly the same price as if i took it PAYG), then i pay the monthly fee and plus i pay for all of the calls and sms's…

its really a system that i dont understand..

Well i dont think many would say you were a 'pussy'…

Cant help with pics, but im sure there will be tons of help from others when they get to work in the uk..

Dont feel abnormal, you've just had major surgery. Its clear youre going to have a scar, but it doesnt matter. What matters is that you concentrate on getting better.

Use this time wisely (the 3am till Meg gets up), organise yourself and dont watch tv for the moment – maybe you're just not ready for that.

    All the best.

As you are not into coffee (OP) why do you actually want a machine – just curious?

If it for convenience and less faff, then with a machine like the dolce gusto you have sth that gives you various drinks, even ice coffee (it has hot & cold water, you still need to supply the ice).

I personally dont like the design of the dolce gusto's but there is a new dolce gusto machine about to come out that does exactly the same things, just takes up less work-top space..

if you want more info send me an email..

A pod is like a tea-bag. The other machines make their drinks with a capsule, either aluminium (Nespresso) or plastic (Tassimo, Dolce Gusto etc..).

As far as i know, the Dolce Gusto is the best at making a real variety of drinks from coffee to chocolate. As mentioned, their coffee isnt rated the highest, but by far from the worst. The capsules are however a large plastic lump, and are expensive.

If you wanted a coffee only 'capsule' machine, then Nespresso have come out best in consumer reports for the quality of their coffee, its just the capsules for the moment are aluminium..also not good for the environment and are expensive for you the consumer..also only available through their online store.

If you are the only one to drink coffee, personally i would use a Bodum or a stove-top for you (and any guests) and either the microwave or a pan of milk for your missus..

    just my 2p…
