don't worry, Geneva always seems closed when ever I've been there, if you're lucky you may find a tiny newsagents that's almost closed but they won't be very helpful. oh and be careful, they ALL have automatic weapons.

    ? Mr Nutt??

yes it depends where you're getting the car..i'd be tempted to do what mrmo says then in the morning when refreshed do the same in reverse to pick the hire car up?

    but thats just me..

The drive out isnt too tricky, does depend where you're heading of course! From the airport there are direct links to either France or The autoroute to Lausanne for example..

not sure an ipad will help..

i am in similar situation although i have to be seated with legs flat…i cant get to the floor as i cant get up again!

i dont think people realise its a bit different when off with an injury than when you just lie down normally..nickjb for instance..

also – laptop sat on your chest, you having a laugh?! the heat build up would be lovely! I am guessing the OP is flat on his back, thus why a laptop is tricky..

I would take what BBB says with a pinch of salt but – as he says he never actually lived in Switzerland, just in hotels bars and airports and seemed to spend all that year on here whining about it.

anyway…I live not that far from Lausanne – been here also 3 yrs and I personally wouldnt go back to live in the UK.

if you're in Geneve then french & english normally suffice..Basel and you'll be needing the german.

aP – completely agree…here we pay for the bags to be collected, so end up recyling almost everything and one bag lasts almost 2 months..

Elaine Anne – 'Aloud' is not the same word as 'allowed'..

and apart from that, to leave 8 bags a fortnight, wtf?! are you crazy? 5 snakes & 2 dogs is maybe too much for you to cope with then..

All of our Household Recycling Centres open from 9.00 – 18.15 all year round seven days a week, except Chirstmas Day

    and New Years Day.

Please contact the Swindon Road HRC help line on (01242) 264 244 to get details of their opening times.

took me 20 seconds to find this?

Just watching seasons and think Ive sussed out why many bikes appear to have there forks the wrong way round. Is it because the Yanks and Canadians have there brake levers the wrong way round, or is this Newbie just a ****.?

    say what?!

Thanks. That was was very well put. Insulting people will always win you friends and help you win an argument. If you want to drop your trousers for the english, that's entirely up to you. And I would say that you are a bit like others here and just a "plastic Scotsman" same as some of the "plastic Welsh", you know not 100% Scot or Welsh.

Do you know me? No, ok then so you cant really say that then can you?

It seems that i am just able to see beyond what you cant.

Please dont fill up the forum with your little spats – the toys are over there to the left where you threw them.

Buzzlightyear – sorry couldnt tell that was comedy. Fly your flag thats what im saying. I am fully in support but it came across as if you were anti scottish in the same way don simon is anti english..

ho hum…so we're just to get don simon to grow up then now!

Don simon, for the love of god give it up.

Im Scottish but im supporting England in the world cup as we didnt get through.

I take offence that you make such stupid arrogant and racist remarks/insinuations which ends up getting all Scots bundled up in the same group and thought of as childish & frankly stupid.

Go away, come back when you reach the age of 10.

Flipside of that is Buzzlightyear – imho you are in the same childish world as Don simon. Grow up.

fisha, the rectangle is indeed a seperate object, i have the wall as a large rectangle and the objects in the room as shapes which i'd dimensioned and am 'placing' them in the room if you like.

Obviously its not as powerful or the same as solidworks but i left the work laptop at work this wknd..

i just thought it'd be nice and fast to change the layout, easier to work with than paper, pencil i thought (tho thnks brant for the useful tip)
