I’ve got a box of those too, ideal for the fork servicers although the sizes are a bit hit and miss, they do a metric and an imperial box. I think I’m going to get me some picks and maybe an inspection tool kit.

I’ve been using a set of those for a few years, one smaller one has twisted very slightly but still usable, very good quality for the money.

In my experience Raceface run on tiny bearings that don’t last, no idea with Blackspire. I’d say get some of these – http://www.mountainbikecomponents.co.uk/items.asp?CategoryID=237&Name=Hollowtech+II+bearing+upgrade

I saw one once where their “suspect” was sat on a BMX talking to some others youths innit, so the 5-0 rammed him side on and pinned him upo against the wall….turned out it was the wrong guy.

Will be using it for anything from dirt jumps and drops to trail duties, which is why I was thinking adjustability would be usefull, but maybe something set somewhere in the middle would be the way forward. Hmmmm….

Damn beat me to it on the colour co-ordination too, 8/10. Lacking attention to detail on shorts and helmet otherwise a superb effort.

I know where you can get a Slayer frame new for about £500 if of interest….. Otherwise I’d say save a K and go Yeti.

Acer have improved and that I3 deal is awesome.

Dell are as plasticy as anything.

When things go wrong Sony are a nightmare, they won’t sell parts without doing the repair and either way the parts are pretty much double the competition.

I do have a mini fleet, Cotic, Dialled and Nicolai but this gets used far more than the others. I use it for everything you’ve said and even long rides and training rides up the canal as it’s quicker and more comfortable than my Cotic bFE which is a fair bit lighter built. I also sold my new shape SC Bullit as this is quicker downhill as well, actually I can’t prove that statement but it certainly felt it and more fun.

Cheers, yeah considering it’s got 36s on the front it climbs reallly well but excells downhill. It came with the RP23, I fancied trying a coil, got a good deal on the Roco TSTR second hand and haven’t looked back. Uber plush downhill and difficult to describe on flat/uphill but it feel like there’s alot more traction and the back wheel bites into the surface like a good ‘un.

I got mine from BDH bikes in Canada, hence the name and the price.

I think the build quality and attention to detail is awesome, I also like that I paid £510 for my frame brand spanking new.

Just got back from Cardiff, apparently all the XT stuff was gone in minutes, did quite well though.

Outland lock on grips about £5
    Topeak multitool for £5
    Lubed up to the eyeballs
And a Park PCS-9 workstand for £50 (there was one left in Cardiff 1/2 hour ago)

I’ve got an 07 Pyre which is like a pre spitfirey spitfire, and I love it, it does everything very well. And Keith the designer is a top bloke.

I smoked from when I was 14 to March last year (19 years), only 10-20 a day but I smoked shit loads of weed every day too, mainly through my trusty bong. I tried cutting down and nicoteine replacements but none of that worked. What did work though was the Alan Carr book, I read a few peoples success stories on here and thought why not give it a shot, despite the book telling me to keep smoking all the way through it I got about half way through and thought you know what, I don’t want to, and haven’t smoked a bean since.

I think the absolute very most important thing is to change your mindset that you’re missing out on something by not smoking and it’s actually the other way around. And I also think it’s true that the mints, lozenges and inhalers ets actually keep you hooked, cold turkey is the only way. I don’t know if it was the cigs or the weed but I had terrible insomnia for over a month.

Has he ever lived with other cats?

It doesn’t sound too great, obviously could be caused by alot of thing but had a lovely old cat (25+) who started doing this and went a bit senile, went blind in one eye, turned out it was a massive tumour behind his dodgy eye. Actually had is eye removed but he continued to go downhill rapidly. In retrospect we really wish we’d let him go earler and not put him through the trauma. Do what’s right for him.

But you could try something like this – http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/60-PREMIUM-QUALITY-PUPPY-DOG-HOUSE-TRAINING-WEE-PADS-/230569991873?pt=UK_Pet_Supplies_Dogs&hash=item35af0adec1

Edit: assumed you had a litter tray, but if not get one.

I’ve been using Enduro bearings for a while now and all good so far, the balls are much bigger so in theory should last longer. Some people say they and hope style one are no good as the bearings run directly on the axle, but that’s how bearings are designed to run, but if they do start to go change them sooner rather than later.
