I had a similar thing recently on Pinkbike, and it wasn’t a kid the guy ran a bike shop.

The guy was selling some forks for £400ono, we agreed a price at £350 and arranged to meet in a few days as he was apparently out of the country, I went ahead and sold my Talas forks on here in preparation/raise some funds and then I noticed he was still bumping his ad and hadn’t marked it sold. i confronted him and he assured me they were mine, then the day before we were supposed to meet sure enough he contacts me to tell me he has a local buyer prepared to pay £400 grrrr. Willchambers you are a tool.

Unless I’m washing the bike I don’t use any cleaners or water on my stanchions. Spray on some teflon lube and wipe upward with some kitchen roll, spray on some more lube and cycle the fork a few time and wipe upwards, repeat untill clean.

Get down to Hellfrauds or similar they should be able to sort you with boxes. I’d have thought it would be cheapest to book a collection from the recipients end through DPD or similar, certainly was sending and receiving to/from Chermany.

My new frame left San Fransico 12.23pm their time yay, it’s last years model but RRP here is £1349, cost me $870 will have to see how I get on with import duties. I bought a Banshee from Canada a few years back of similar value and cost me £510 delivered, duty was quite ‘favourable’. Don’t worry about it just gopher it. :)

I’ve been thinking about repalcing my XTR M975s with some Avid X0 brakes, bad move? I really like Shimano brakes but fancy a change.

Is there any evidence out there to back rotating chains? ie: Having 2-3 or even 4 chains and say use one for a month, swap for another and so on, once they’ve all been used start on the first one again, rinse and repeat…
