I considered this (and did mean to set it up internally when I got the PC), but most people pointed out that RAID is not backup – controllers also die more regularly that I’d imagined. (or at least those aimed at the ‘pro’-sumer)

Raid 0 isn’t backup. I’ve not know m/any raid controllers to die but I have tansfered raid arrays from contoller to controller intact with no problems ICH7 to 9 and back again.

Seagate/Maxtor went through a really dodgy QC patch a few years ago, pretty much when they joined forces and I’ve avoided since. I tend to stick with WD and Samsung nowadays, although HSGT seem to be getting over the click click click deatstar stigma.

Then I had a problem with my XT 10speed cassette, one of the sprockets snapped. CRC warranty dept. said nothing they can do and I’d have to purchase another one. As I’m doing the Gorrick race this weekend I was in a rush to get a new one. CRC assured me that the card issues had been sorted out on the 9th! Well Mrs Janesy’s card has just been cloned (15th) and £400 was attempted at John Lewis!

It’s clear that they don’t want take a short term hit on profits but the long term damage could be a lot worse, and I hope it is the way they are behaving. Anyone emailed Watchdog yet? :D

UKbikestore probably the best chance being so close to Hope, they’ve sold me little bits not listed on the site before.

I popped into Mojo the other day to get a price on a FIT damper for my 36s and they want £259 just to supply it now the offer is over, I only paid £20 more than that for the brand new 08 forks back in 2009, suffice to say I left Mojo empty handed…

Tbh unless wenger swallows his pride and spends a bit they may struggle for a CL place next year

This gets wheeled out every year and it never happens, Denilson needs to go and bring in one solid defensive midfielder as cover for Song and perhaps a pacey forward at the most, with Ramsey and hopefully the Verminator back would be a big boost in itself, the rest of the team is young and improving. I hope it doesn’t happen but even if Fabregas goes it’s not the end of the world with Rambo the hobbit and Song Billong as the midfield three.

But had Peter Schmeichel been in goal, he would have saved it, probably…. What if…….?

Yeah the chance that was a chance probably never would have happened and been a chance, but it wouldn’t have hurt their chances, inferior teams win in football all the time….One chance is all it takes. Have I said chance enough?

What a bunch of bile spouting cock sniffers.

As outclassed as Arsenal were all it would have taken was one goal to go through. Had Van Persie been in Bentdners position would he have scored? Probably…..

Van sent off for having a shot at goal after getting flagged for offside….total farce.

IMO laquering polished aluminium is not a good idea, there’s nothing for it to key to, all it takes is a little chip and water to get underneath and it looks terrible.

Powdercoat laquer is very yellow but a bit harder wearing.

The best I’ve seen is a product by POR-15 and something used by Image Wheels they called ceramic clear coat, which I suspect is the same thing.

Personally I’d just leave it bare, give it a polish up now and again and use a sealant to protect it.

Don’t be worried about the strength of them, I had the equivalent of a 90mph impact in my old Jetta which flung the other car over 30 foot in the air before it landed on my roof, it wasn’t bad at all considering.

Was that pic up there a motorbike or post impact?

K-jet valvers and small bumpers are the way forwards though.

A Roco TST for peddaly stuff or a Roco WC for downhilly stuff, a pushed Roco WC feels better to a CCDB IMO (buy my CCDB) :D

Use Belgom Alu which polishes and protects to some extent, you can then extend/increase the protection with a good quality automotive sealant (synthetic wax). I use Chemical Guys Jetseal 109 as it’s the ducks guts. That buys about 2-3 weeks protection in constant bad weather before needing a top up, dirt just rinses off as well.

Ebay don’t give a flying ****. I spotted a really dodgy auction/seller/s the other day, I reported it and apart from an autoreply they did nothing, and I expect somebody is £270 lighter because of it.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260742917757&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Then check their feedback for the Canon EOS which they sold but says thanks for buying, and then check their feedback – http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=don_klieten&ftab=AllFeedback

Why the hell hasn’t their account be suspended?

Edit: I’m sure if you say I’ll come and pick it up the item would mysteriously be sold already. The first seller sold some brand new Lyriks the same day for £210 as well.

Yep 1/2″ or 12.7mm would be right for fox, I’ve got mounts for both ends of the shock and bolts if it’s of any interest.

    And it’s 22mm and 41mm width.

Pretty sure I’ve got the front and back mounts if you’re interested. The 12.7mm would be the size of the eyelet/bush the mount fits into. What shock is it?
