I love my Shiver DCs, ok they weigh nearly 9lb but I dont care it’s DH bike and I’m not exactly light, they’re bulletproof, easy to service and stiff where it counts, a little side to side deflection is not such a bad thing.

And in other news – Fox USD proto

My first post is badly worded but what I’m really trying to work out is at what height do things get unrideable due to unavoidable pedal strikes. What would you consider to be stupidly low? I was thinking just under 13″ would be about as low as you would want to go but wanted to gather other opinions….

Yeah I know it subjective, Depending on setup I can go anywhere between 12.5″ and 13.6″ with 5″ of travel at the back.

What is the lowest BB you’ve seen on a 5″ bike?

The Invisible man series that was on BBC1 after Howards Way on a Sunday night used to freak me out.

I’ve had an Orange 5 welded that had a hairline crack in the swingarm. Orange wanted £300 to weld, heat treat and pownercoat it. I had a local alu welder who is very good do it for £15, He removed a little bit of material and zapped it a good un. I let it just sit for a few months in an attempt to let it age harden and since then it’s been fine touch wood, used a couple of times a week including regular DH and a trip to the Alps.

Rhid haven’t you only just bought this frame?

I failed my first driving test for doing 30mph in a 40mph and “failing to maintain the flow of traffic”.

It needs to be burnt as an ISO, with nero you can just double click it and nero does the rest, some other burners and older versions of nero will configure everything if you change the extension from .ISO to .NRG

My Fabia, currently on the A8 monoblocks, have also got a MK1 Polo and a Scirocco MK2 running a 2.1 16v on Jenveys and DTA management, or it will be when I finally finish it.

Aloe Ferox possibly. I’ve got about 50 cacti/succulents ranging from minatures to a 5 footer, some nice caudex forming succulents too.

mrmo I’d say your soil isn’t draining well enough, i use 50% compost, 25% sharp sand and 25% horti grit, works well.

Good stuff but you have to wonder why he didn’t stick around.
The story makes it sound like he swooped in his underpants and then did one clark kent stylie.

If i’d have jump into the river to save a drowning baby I think I would have stuck around to make sure they were ok / ambulance arrived etc

That’s how it sounded to me, made me think of the Family Guy/Spiderman “Everybody gets one”.

Nice vid, was riding all of those a few weeks ago, I freakin’ love Chevannes red, I could ride that forever, breaking bumps and all. The Shore is nice too and all the bermy ones up on the Nauchets lift.
