Just got back and managed to pace myself a bit better, picked a different route which was flatter, and easier, 1.5 miles exactly in 14.49, Or do I need to quote everything in KM now to fit in? At 16st I don’t think I’m ever going to be a proper desert sprinter though.

Hmmm I assumed it was but I think pacing myself is a problem of mine, on a bike I find it difficult to just pootle along.

I started last week, did three runs of a mile each in around 8 minutes which I know is poor, but have never been able to run more than a few hundred metres and haven’t tried for about 17-18 years, I did used to be a really good sprinter in school though. I’ll go a little further tonight or tomorrow. Bought some asics trail shoes for my supinated feet and also forefoot striking seem to have completely eradicated the bad shin pain I used to get.

Fear and Loathing, Dead mans shoes, Stranger than fiction, I could keep going and going, so I’ll stop.

I’ll add gladiator, blackhawk down and full metal jacket, maybe braveheart and platoon to my ever expanding list. Oooh bad taste and all the evil dead films, GROOVY!

Not sure where in the world you are but got a lovely Berndes pan from a local bargain shop called Buyology, I think they have a bit of a chain though.

Cheapest I could find the pan was £60 online and they’re selling them for £11, it’s not massive but awesome quality, they had the smaller ones too.
