It was not bad but I thought the storyline was way too simple and telegraphed, it felt like in every scene the plot fell into place way too neatly.

Oh and not strictly sci-fi either but imho probably the best series I’ve ever seen is The Leftovers.

I enjoyed Counterpart and was peaved when I saw it’d been cancelled, but that was just a clever spy drama with a sci-fi backdrop. The Expanse is the best thing I’ve seen in a long time

I’ve been making tunes for a few years, I use Ableton with various plugins and an ever expanding selection of hardware, I’ve got my first proper album release coming up soon on a label that Apparat has released on so I’m pretty chuffed about that.

Zelkova Serrata would be a good choice, late to leaf out, nice lime green summer foliage and stunning Autumn colour.

I was sure I’d broken my thumb last year and mid house refurb thought I’d just get on with, after two months of pushing through the pain barrier and having developed a raging case of tendonitis because I was using my hand like a claw one night it popped back into socket, oops.

The barren’s night out and vampiric council episodes were superb.

We were stuck in a catch 22 where she was already on the roids so couldn’t have the biopsy, ultrasound and gastroscopy showed nothing out of the ordinary.

She was nine.

We lost a cat to suspected lymphoma or IBD last year, we noticed she started gnashing her teeth when she was eating and eating very/slowly finding it hard to eat, along with sickness and squits. We exhausted all avenues with regard to diagnosis so this was just a most likely is scenario. She was ok on quite a high steroid dose as soon as that was lowered she just slumped in a heap, she was on the diet for maybe 6-8 weeks and didn’t improve so decided the kindest thing to do was let her go. :(

Last time I used an out of hours vet (for my own dog) it was £200 just to walk through the door. Sorry, but no way I’d fork out cash for someone else’s dopey cat that decided to end things by jumping under my car. I’d stop and check it was dead and do what I could if it wasn’t but I’m not taking responsibility for someone else’s roaming semi-wild moggy.

That’s not true, a vet would not charge you for bringing in an animal involved in an RTA, they would keep alive/comfortable until the owner could be contacted regarding extensive treatment or PTS if it was in it’s best interests.

And that’s why I prefer animals to people, because people are *****, and in modern society only seem to be getting worse.

You’ve either left an animal to die a slow, painful and possibly unnecessary death, or regardless of your own thoughts on pets you have killed a member of someone’s family and they could now go through weeks/months/years of anguish not knowing what happened to their pet, or they have to scrape their beloved cat off the road after another fifty cars have tuned it into mush. Either way it makes you a really shit human being.

Skin crawlingly good TV. It took a little while to get use to the language and accents but I think it’s fine, I did find the lack of consistency with the evacuation announcement being in Russian bothersome though.

WWDITS the series is excellent, especially the night out with the baron and vampiric council episodes.

I enjoyed watching the odd episode a few years back but after a while all I could hear was canned laughter, but nothing funny behind it.
