Only one recommendation for buying reduced items…We live pretty much exclusively off reduced stuff from Tesco and the local Co-op, if the meat or fish is cheap enough buy it and bung it in the freezer. I don’t know for sure but I’d be surprised if we spend more than £15-£20 pp, pw.

I’m a big fan of horror, gore and zombies but I actually think that was unnecessary and too much, done purely for shock value as they ran out of material for good story lines a long time ago. I don’t know if I can be bothered to put myself through another series, oh wait, deja vu. :-)

I don’t think it’s the professional diagnosis that’s important, more so it’s awareness of your own traits and understanding yourself, knowing that you are not just chronically shy, learning how to blend in with NT people in social situations and communicate in personal/private relationships can help massively with your state of mind and mental health. I spent more than half my life as a very depressed self medicating hermit wondering why I was such a ****-up, but since becoming aware my life has changed for the better imeasurably. Having a label I can blame things on does not help and can become a hindrance, “sorry, I’m behaving like a **** because I’m aspie”. Be careful not to go down that road.

I found out when I was 33 and it pretty much explained my life up to that point, and why I’d always felt like life was in a room and I was stuck outside peering in through the window. Check out the Simon Baron Cohen book, it’s really good.

For me it was shows like Oz and Six Feet Under that started the ‘box set’ revolution.

Yeah, pelting along a canal towpath I could see a wasp approaching in the opposite direction at speed, at this point the ‘don’t look at the magnetic tree effect’ had kicked in and I felt like I was stuck on the rail road straight to wasp town. By now faced with almost certain death things were moving in slow motion and I could see the wasp move into attack mode stinger first and was heading right at my face., “thwack”, I had a wasp lodged in my upper eyelid, I rammed on the brakes, plucked the wriggly little bastard out of my eye before bodyslamming him on the ground and dishing out some foot justice.
It didn’t feel too bad at the time and as I was only just heading out on my merry way I continued on my ride, about twenty minutes later my eye closed up completely and I soon wished I’d gone straight home.

I love my Berndes pan, a good weight, nice and stable, non-sticky and super easy to clean. It’s just starting to get a little bit tired after probably 10-12 years of reasonably heavy use and somebody else unnecessarily cleaning it with a scourer. I’m keeping my eyes peeled for another at a good price as this was a £15 TKMaxx purchase, frustrating as a local charity shop that has closed down has three in the window.

I used a scotchbrite wheel on a drill to do a few fireplaces, it worked really well without being too aggressive.

I gave myself whiplash last year sneezing, where my trap meets my neck it was uber painful especially when trying to sleep, it look about two months to get over it. I think I must be a ferocious sneezer as I often get a dead feeling in my left arm like I’m about to have a heart attack.
