We had a load of chestnut last year, it burns really well and long with a bluish flame but it’s a total pig to split. We’ll burn pretty much anything and just scavenge what we can, I don’t see how paying for logs can be economical. I managed to drag my fat arse out the door for a run the other day, my first run in two years and managed 5k in 32 minutes which I was quite pleased with all things considered, and about 3.5kg down, so YAY from me too.

I have both and they are suberb especially with the SW10 sub, the quality is indiscernible from my brother’s Mackies.

Haven’t finished watching season 3 yet, but Fear the Walking Dead has rather implausibly turned into a better show than it’s parent, which is a bit of a turnaround.

This started as background viewing for me but in the second half of the latest series it’s really stepped up as something quite watchable, I think they’ve learned from GoT and now there’s the unpredictability that anyone could get their head stoved in with a hammer at any time.

It’s been relegated to background viewing while I work for a few years but I thought s08e01 was probably the worst I’d seen. As mooman said, shoot him in the face? Nah wait for him to say his piece and then spray wildly. The saviours are still supposed to outnumber them, what do we do? Waste a shit tonne of ammo shooting windows, that’ll teach’em. A horde of zombies that can keep up with a motorbike that looks to be doing in excess of 30mph? Yep, that’s TWD. I’m sure there were a few other moments as well as the horribly overacted speeches by Rick and King Wotshisface.

I had been enjoying eating well and enjoying it but have just returned from a four day eatathon in Bordeaux, I’m dead keen to jump back on the wagon tomorrow but have a birthday do on Wednesday so I’ll probably have no choice but to gorge myself silly. I’ll try and update my weight tomorrow.
