I'd recommend the Hadley bolt thru axle from Balle racing, it came to about £22 delivered and only took a few days. You can pay with paypal as well if you email Erik.

It's a nice quality piece of kit with nothing to go wrong, I've had one on my FR bike for a while but now have one on my other bike as well.

I was tempted to try the RWS and really glad I didn't now.

When I was looking for a new frame recently the amount of unused warranty replacement frames for sale said everything I needed to know.

On my Pyre I'm running XTR levers, XTR rear caliper and a Saint caliper on the front (180f 160r). I'm not the lightest ever and don't hang about but there's always more than enough stopping power.

I couldn't find your review but I've seen a few people saying the rear stays are very forgiving….How are you finding it or too early to tell?

Try them with the long pins around the outside of the pedal, I use different pedals but it works for me.

Actually is that the worlds first use of a jerry can spout as a seatpost?

Saddle and pedals for a start, go for both black or white.

driving at revs of say 1.1-1.3krpm will kill the engine, but he's unable to explain why

Ive got a Ibiza FR 130pd and had to replace the turbo recently, the car had done then 60k. The propellor shaft snapped on the intercooler side of the turbo. I drive my car pretty slow most of the time so could this be the clogging vein bit that was mentioned?

Compressor surge will kill turbos, Buzz did/do you ever notice a funny juddering when accelerating? more subtle than DMF judder but very noticeable, anyway that's surge, say you put your foot down at 1500rpm in a high gear you will be asking the turbo to provide more boost than it can, air pressure will be higher post turbo which means it will pass back through the turbo the wrong way sometimes stalling the compressor wheel totally, smashing itself to bits or snapping the inpeller shaft.

It's a good idea to keep the revs above 1900-2000rpm unless you are cruising with very low load on the engine or in 1st or 2nd gear.

Ski – Yeah I get through my share of tyres lol.

Amazingly the original clutch is still going strong, have done 20k miles with not even a whiff of slippage, when it eventually decides to die will probably go for a Spec or a Sachs VR6 with the single mass flywheel. I had a Helix on my old VR6 and not impressed, it only lasted 3k miles but then it is a motorsport clutch and not designed to last forever.

It doesn't take much to get alot out of the PD130, I've done –

    VNT 17/20 hybrid
Forge FMIC with all original pipework replaced/rerouted
3" turbo back exhaust with no silencers, just one resonator
    EGR deleted
Green panel filter and Ibiza Cupra TDI snorkel
    Custom remap
And fed on a diet of dino juice, bio, millers, water and methanol.

I'm still not entirely sure what is the quickest way to drive it, if you rev it the power is good but then you miss the sledgehammer of torque in the next gear, it actually sounds good for a weasel too, a few people properly into cars have asked wtf is in that, and were very suprised when told it's a derv.

Smoke is not terrible, the guy who I bought the turbo off though had much worse smoke and less power, although I think the back end of a Fabia is some kind of particulate magnet as my car is normally two tone red with a black back end.

Also the more it's been modified the better the economy has got, you can just surf on the top of the huge 'torque wave'.

To me the 2.0l 16v drives almost like a petrol without the traditional tdi dollop of torque.

    This is my PD130, I've done quite a bit since this printout, now 245bhp 380lb/ft @ 2400rpm.

The same difference as an unpushed RP3 and RP23. The RP3 will only have one Propedal level/setting, which is all you need.

Go to a supermarket and get a box, alternatively go to your LBS and grab an old fork box, or just fashion your own box from large pieces of cardboard and tape. Personally I wouldn't trust just bubble wrap.

I use a Minion front on the back and a High Roller on the front. I did have a HR on the back but I prefer the traction from the Minion, slightly more draggy but not by much.

They are my favourite brakes, I've got them on my Bullit and a "hybrid" Saint XTR setup on the other bike, as far as I can tell the only downside to them is a lack of spares if something goes wrong….but they seem very reliable.

They are the most powerful brakes I've used by some way and I love the feel, modulation not as good as Hope Mono 6 but much more powerful.

Other brakes I've had for comparison –

Hayes Stroker Trails – powerful but on/off modulation
Avid Elixir – nice but not that powerful
Hope Mono 6/6TI – not as powerful you would expect but excellent modulation, you do really need to squeeze them to get the most out of them
Hope Moto V2 – Powerful, nice lever feel, worth considering.

I picked up the parts for mine individually and built up a set including Godridge hoses for about £220.

I'd be looking at the carb as prime suspect, sounds like overfuelling.

I think most people don't understand why so many gooners were pissed of with 'him'.

When Arsenal signed him he was scoring 4-5 goals a season in Lique 1 but Wenger spotted he had all the ingredients but really just lacked the workrate, in his first season + 1/2 I said this guy can be better than Henry, he was running around like a headless chicken putting in 100% and scoring goals with moments of brilliance, by now I think he had won most of his doubters over. Although towards the end of the season he seemed to be getting back to his lazy old self

He then went on to acknowledge in an interview that Wenger had taught him he needed to give everything in every game then he could be one of the best in the world and how he owed Arsenal everything.

Then Barca and Milan come sniffing and he spends the whole summer trying to engineer a move away in the press pretty much every day, Arsenal say no to all offers and he comes back to a press conference to say he had no knowledge of any of this as he was on holiday in Togo and his phone was switched off..yeh OK

He then signs a new contact doubleing his money to £80k a week, not the £100-£120k Henry wage he decided he was worth after one good season.

First two home games he gets booed, more than I would have liked but he deserved it, anyway for the first two games he looked like he was trying but after that he just stood around offside looking like a lazy ****t and headbutting team mates and calling them sh!t.

The guy is a total egomaniac, I kind of wish he was still a gooner but really I'm glad he's gone. It's only a matter of time before Barca and Real come sniffing, and no matter how rich Man City are his head will be turned and so it starts all over again…

He said he could never forgive the arsenal fans. For what? For booing him two games for being a sneaky twunt and then treating every gooner like an idiot. He says that before a game and doesn't expect to get any abuse?

And did no-one see the stamp on Fabregas' ankle?

I've got a VP link bike with RP23 and I don't really see the point of the 3 levels, mine is either on minimum or off.

If I was buying a shock I'd save me money and get the RP2.

Bilt Hamber Deox gel, it's awesome stuff, you just bog it on with a brush, cover it with a bit of plastic bag so it doesn't dry out and leave it for a day, give a quick scrub with a wire brush then wipe off with a damp cloth.

Sometimes deeper bits neet re-treating but it leaves shiny clean metal, or sometimes holes lol.

It looks like apple sauce when you start but after a few hours it turns into black sludge, amazing stuff!

The scuttle was very rusty, you can see the lip is perforated in places.

    Rusty battery tray.

    The apple sauce in action.

    Gone.

    Don't even consider anything else.

The Glaswegian on last week was pretty funny – Things you don't want to hear at work "Get off you're shit!"

I think some of them like the Canadian guy last night struggle to get in on the off the cuff banter, but when they have a chance to reel off some of their standup routine are actually very funny.

Am I the only one who finds Little Britain totally naff, unfunny and painful to watch?

I'm really looking forward to series two of Nathan Barley…

I'm a few minutes down the road from Mojo and have never had a problem dealing in person, sorted me out a really good deal converting a DHX 3 to a DHX 5, service and custom shim stack.

Although one of my LBS always slates them for their lack of knowledge/spouting bs.

Powdercoat is tougher as it has good elasticity, wet paint will get the best finish but will chip easily in comparison to powder.

Be careful what blast media is used as some can be very harsh, I much prefer alcohol dipping/stripping.

Agreed the charge advert has left me mentally scarred….Man wins bike at fairground, morphs into grey haired "dude" on speedboat, woman rides slowly arond bend, man runs 1 metre sprint jog racey thing and wins by default, repeat for the next three years…..

I'd never dare click on the add as it would probably turn me into a dribbling mess unable to complete basic tasks….oh wait it may be too late for that anyway. :|
