We are actually travelling down on the 26th and won’t be getting to our digs in Fort William until late afternoon, plan to go to Lagaan Wolftrax on the Sunday then Nevis on the Monday so should hopefully avoid the crowds.

It is volatile and flamable so don’t go sloshing it around too much indoors.

it is flammable but you need a very high flashpoint!

We use Iosopropyl Alcohol at work to clean glue heads that are 2-300 F and I’m still here stop frightening everybody!

Funnily enough this morning on breakfast tv there was a woman on there cos she no longer loved people, she loved objects instead, actually fell in love with buildings and objects WTF

I kid you not she dumped the Drum Kit and fell in love with the statue of liberty WTF

+1 here for SRAM, easier to set up, more resilient to mud, more of a positive shift…I just like it, but there will be opinions for the big S and shitmano!

Is it about £130 for the RP23 upgrade? Save your money and get a tune from Loco if it needs it…..£60 approx

Ok next question… how’s the float rl on it??.. is it worth upgrading to rp23?

I wouldn’t bother as SC spec them with low compression/rebound tunes on there shocks or all single pivots, they climb very well sat in the saddle in the granny ring….as long as your not mashing it up hill you will be fine with the RL.

Leisure lakes have some Ano Gunmetal frames for £999.

Hmm really fancy the Ali highball in custom dark grey with white decals
Having problems finding some 120mm forks though, any 120mm 29er forks other than fox’s at 700+?
I reckon frame plus xt group set from .de and easton bar and stem, shimano wheels, but without forks can be had for circa £1400 Ish

29er Rebas on merlin are £299 just ordered some!

I’ve always used RS forks as Fox are soo expensive, however when I damaged my RS Sektors last year I needed some new forks, I was looking at the Lyriks and 36s too. In the end I went for some 2012 36 Van RC2 FIT Kashimas, yes they are more expensive but I got them on 12 months interest free, so far I’m pretty impressed with them but don’t knw how they compare to the Lyriks. The Kashima coating did it for me, they look bling!

I’m 44 this year, ride the Dark peak every week and taking my 6″ AM Rig to Les Arcs this summer to have fun, age is just a number as long as you don’t read MBUK you will be fine, what a disturbing publication!

It’s all in the shifter feel, if you have decent shifters (x9 at least) then I have found no noticeable difference! I just put an X7 on my bike ( merlin £34.95 ) and notice NO difference so don’t see the point in another £20-25.

Just to let you know, I serviced my lowers today and when I took them off and drained oil, there was virtually none in there, there is supposed to be 30ml in each leg so im glad I serviced them no, they are feeling pretty good now!

    SBrock

Probably more important to torque them right

    SBrock

Even better if you can find a cheap black box damper, takes the fork to a different level!

    SBrock

the oil in the lowers is only for lube – it will not alter feel to any great extent

I didn’t inply that it would, as I said myself it’s purely for the lowers leg and with them bein Kashima stanchions Fox say there own 10 wt, as they would say that so best get some 10wt from motor bike spares shop.
